I went 9 months without a CIG but I am having a few a day at the minute , but the vaping is still winning over cigs so all is good

I have the odd one every now and then (been vaping 6 weeks or so) but almost every time I do I don't like the taste, it does nothing for me and I end up wondering why I'm standing in the cold for no real enjoyment.

I think it's the habit I've enforced over the last 20 odd years making me think I want one. in reality I don't want or need one as I soon find out when I do have one.

just do what you feel is right. like others have said count the cigs you don't have every single day not the odd one you do have occasionally

I'm the same as you suede. I cannot believe i just don't want one.
I was really angry with OH last week. He cam in the lounge and said. I just looked in your red handbag and theres a whole 20 pack of cigs in there..GRRRRRR I didn't want to know that!! But mysteriously that still has not enticed me. Fingers crossed i really am finished with them.

Not since I started four months ago, despite having had several cartons of Marlboro in the house I was selling for a mate.

In retrospect, I don't think I really ever liked the taste of fags, and now I have the option of vaping so many pleasant flavours I don't have any urge whatsoever to smoke.

I did, however, enjoy the act of smoking, and consider myself fortunate that I've finally discovered something that gives me all the things about smoking I enjoyed, the hand actions, the deep inhales, the exhalation of the smoke, as well as the great flavours so it is actually better than smoking, as well as being much healthier, so I have no reason to smoke again.

Cakey it's early days, and your coming up to Xmas time with all the temptations! smoke as many ciggies as you like, but try and replace some by vaping, then count the ones you've not smoked

I only started to vape to cut down on ciggies and find a way round the smoking ban, I didn't really intend stopping smoking, that just happened So pleased it did, but I didn't put myself under any pressure to stop smoking

Went out on Xmas party last night and felt sure I'd not make it through the evening.

Worst of all, my tank was full of 10mg liquid.

Made it, comfortably, in the end.

Can't think I'll ever go back now. Tried a few puffs 10 days ago.....didn't enjoy it at all. >

Thanks everyone, i went out last night for some food with friends and ended up having two felt stupid after as i didnt even enjoy them. Good thing was I didnt go and buy any afterwards and just came home and vaped and compared to 20+ cigs a day id say two isnt all that bad

Its nearly been a year now since I started vaping,but i smoked and vaped for most of this year,until I was ready to put the last ciggy down,its now been 10 weeks and I have no intention of ever smoking again,I learned the hard way after stopping for six years and then just having the one

Just shows we're all different. I've not had a cig since I started whiffling as haven't felt the need, but have tried a drag twice from sheer curiosity ( the last was months ago now) - and the taste repulsed me.

I think I'm lucky that happened as otherwise, I may be tempted to smoke again. I am around smokers a lot and it doesn't bother me.

My OH works with a rollie smoker, and I even gave away all my spare filters, papers and lighters to him a couple of weeks ago, I had even forgotten about this until this thread reminded me!
Moon, you've hit the nail on the head with your post, I absolutely agree with you. I love the tinkering, filling, cleaning, and all those wonderful tastes.
Soon to be picking up my Vamo, so even more playing around to come I think!

Yes, once you get interested in the whole vaping thing, it really helps, and makes it enjoyable and interesting, well done!!!. You are gonna love your VAMO!!

I haven't smoked since I started vaping except one on the first day. I smoked for near on 40 years and this is the only thing which has worked.

As daft as it seems i find it easier being around people who smoke, because the missus smokes i do have the temptation to grab her fags and nip out for one, but then she lights one and the after-smell turns my stomach completely.
Everyones different and the new kit will help for sure. I was ready to throw the skycig inthe bin and think sod it, but since i got my riva kit 2 months ago i havent touched a fag since

I have had 3 since quitting, each time I was drunk as a skunk, one was at the SA v Eng Rugby, other a stag party and the last our xmas party, all 3 have been after a long session and when my Vivi has basically run down to the dregs, i didn't dislike them but I didn't then proceed to go and buy some from a shop either.. I think others have said it best, count the ones you don't have not the ones you do

as smokers or ex smokers we are all completely different, i am happy that this is the longest i have ever quit, i do intend to stay that way, it's soooooo much cheaper ;-)
