Not Feeling The Christmas Spirit

I don't know if it's because we're skint or because both me and the Mrs don't have any time off over Christmas or New Years but neither of us feel Christmasy, not even 1 bit.
It's not like we don't like Christmas, we both love it but we are both just down and fed up and just can't wait for it all to be done with this year. I hate it! It's the only time of year I normally look forward to but not at all this year we're just fed up.

Hopefully when this year is over yous will have more quality time together and your finances pick up. What about making some time for one another if you can cook make her meal sit down and make the time, im sure she will love that if you cant cook help her to prepare a meal that way yous are doing something together.
Its only a suggestion chiller and to be honest its the only one i can come up with just now.

My Dad died just before Christmas when I was 20 (many years ago now), but it just seems to have taken the edge of it ever since.

Still, I find it good for the staff morale to hear me saying Humbug so many times a day

I am not feeling it either normally from the 1st of Dec I am bouncing up and down full of Christmas cheer but bit this year can't figure out why not feeling down money is tight but always is ! Maybe I have just finally realised its just another day

If you want to feel the spirit, come round to mine. I've a VERY excited 8 year old who's guaranteed to drag jolliness out of you kicking and screaming, whether you want to or not.

Oh and ive also a 42 year old hubby who's equally as giddy about it, and told me, with a straight face, that he'll probably be too excited to sleep much Christmas Eve! ???

I have no choice but to feel it too. My 5yrs old grandaughter is so excited she is fit to burst My daughter took me and the two girls to the christmas party at the disability support centre last night. The little one sang renditions of all the christmas songs in the car there AND back! She had us all singing in the end. We managed to win the christmas hamper in the raffle too.
So, if anyone wants to get into the christmas spirit i am willing to hire her out for 50p an hour or a bag of chocolate coins

I have plenty of Christmas spirit to go round!! Have some of mine!!

I was a slow starter this year as we too are skint but after catching the coke advert it was on like donkey Kong! Got an artificial tree for the first time as we can't afford a real one and I don't even care - even though the kids decorated it!!! I can't wait to give them their presents, stuff my face and drink myself silly to a plethora of Christmas music.

As with Jason my dad died mid december 19 years ago, taken the edge clean off of it every year since.
Girlfriend is out of a job and fighting our benefits system and has had zero income for 4 months so I've been paying 2 lots of bills >
Car is right now in for it's service and It's a diesel so It's not cheap, £325 > had the obligatory call and filtered through all the bullshit and found that I'll need 4 tyres and front brake discs before the feb mot, not much change from £1100 there
I'm working overtime and working my days off to keep on top of it all and feed my passion for shiny vaping gear
A small fortune has been blown on prezzies and christmas gear and the only day I have off till new years eve is christmas day, I'm in work at 05:30hrs on boxing day

Quite frankly, Christmas can go fu*k itself, I can't be done with it >
