Hey guys so my kit is here and I'm so excited about how good it is! I had one cig today and actually thought wow that's not much of a throat hit! Lol even my oh is chugging away on the other battery and can't believe how morish it is! I have a couple of questions.though hope you can help me out. When I filled the clearo this morning it was vaping but no throat hit then all of a sudden bam! I was coughing at first! Well I've just refilled and its done the same again how do I get a throat hit? The centre of the clearo looks a bit tilted could it be this? Or does this always happen when you put fresh liquid in? How do i clean the clearo? Do I just clean the plastic casing or the middle part with the wick too? My tobacco flavoured liquid has a strange apple tinge to the taste is this normal? Does anyone know of a tobaccoish flavoured juice with no fruity taste? Thanks all

This Shouldn't happen, you are not overfilling it are you? if the clearo is empty you can unscrew the tank and adjust the centre. The way I clean Clearo's is to take tham apart and soak them in hot (not boiling) water and then dry off with kitchen roll.
I like the El toro or HS storm brand of juice they are simular to tobacco.

Pleased to hear you're happy with your kit Good advice there from Meeee Throat hit is usually dependent on either the voltage you're vaping at or the liquid having higher pg or nicotine. I'm wondering if this intermitent throat hit you're getting is actually a dry hit Be careful to not overfill and avoid the centre tube. Regularly tilt/swish the liquid around the clearo to keep the wicks wet!

My tobacco flavoured liquid has a strange apple tinge to the taste is this normal? Does anyone know of a tobaccoish flavoured juice with no fruity taste? Glad you are enjoying vaping. The supplier with the best rep for matching particular tobacco flavours is probably OK Smokey, although Grizwalds (VapeEscape) Old Holborn has had some good reviews here recently.

I'm a bit puzzled by this as personally I look for a throat hit. Agree with Karma that maybe you mean 'dry hit' which I definitely don't want. Others here can comment better than I can as to how to avoid the dry hit scenario.

Sometimes it takes a bit of time for the atomiser to 'bite' on new juice. Also, as mentioned above, avoid overfilling your clearos. It's better to only fill to the top measuring line than try to 'squeeze in a bit extra'. They should only need cleaning every 4 or 5 days, depending on how much you use them, of course. As far as avoiding a 'dry hit', and you'll know it when you get one - burnt/wet string taste, keep the clearo held horizontal before and during your draw, and don't let it run too low before refilling, otherwise the wicks can't get enough juice to the coil, and you end up with a mouth/lungful of 'exhaust' from the coil which has just burnt off all the crud from the juice. You'll get used to it in time, and will even begin to know when it's about to happen. Just rest the clearo on its side and wait a couple of minutes, and with luck that should soak the wicks again. Hope this helps! Andy
