I remember those public service broadcasts about what to do in the event of a nuclear war, what to do with the bodies of your family etc. Fricking scared the life out of me. There was a spate of nuclear type programs around that time. Z For Zachariah, Threads etc.. I grew up expecting to live my life in a hovel eating cold beans and dog food out of a can.

Now I live in South East London ... scary huh?

I know what you mean BC. I'm pretty sure it's all nonsense, but a fair few people that I work with are a bit worried, and it does rub off a bit

I really hope it doesn't happen as I've resisted maxing out my credid card, will be a total wasted spending opportunity if it does

Oh and those public announcement thingys? Weren't cockroaches the only thing said to survive? I had nightmares about giant radio active bugs lol

I think the main thing is that I wouldn't be with all the people I love and ashmal I think that is where my super fears came from those public service broadcasts
