Got a couple of 100% vg liquids because I hate TH but got to say I'm pretty disappointed. No taste at all and was a bugger to Wick as well :-( Oh well I'll mix it with some pg juice. Not as much vapour as I was expecting either.
Still all fun and games on the road to vaping experimenting ;-)

May I ask what brand it was? Some are far better than others - at one point I used only 100% VG and found varying degrees of success - highbrow vapour is one that has an abundance of flavour, also the Virgin Vapor eliquids are full of flavour too - both don't have a huge throat hit. I'm sure others might have suggestions for others to try but the main point being if you want 100% VG you can thin it down a bit for wicking purposes once you find one with a good flavour

It's from FreedomVape, it's certainly smooth. I've found that mixing a little bit of PG/VG juice with it really improves the vape. In fact, at 4+ volt and getting it nice and warm with lots of pulls it's quite impressive. Lots of vapour, no dry throat and no sore throat, but still lacks taste. I'll wait till it's gone down a little more and add some more PG/VG and then see what I think. Bit of a faff but I suspect if I can get the mixtures right it could be a great vape. Not sure if it's going to annoy me though having to mix so I'll try some different pre mixed 50/50 and some different suppliers, thanks. I guess it is possible it's just started to wick properly at last lol

Oh good, glad its working out. There is always the different attys/voltages to take into account too-perhaps try dripping with it and you'll know if its the juice thats lacking flavour or the atty its in...thats the good and bad of vaping-so many variables

Kibster, are there reasons you are vaping 100% vg? is it just to experiment? I am interested because I am toying with the idea at the mo

Kibster, are there reasons you are vaping 100% vg? is it just to experiment? I am interested because I am toying with the idea at the mo Mainly because I find too much TH with the PG based juices, having VV helps and I drop the voltage but then I lose a lot of vapour and taste as well. I was hoping I could get all the vapour, taste and less TH with 100% VG. Well I get good vapour (not great probably because it is very thick and doesn't wick very well.) no TH and no taste with 100%. Also my Nova sounds constantly flooded bubbling away on every draw, I guess it doesn't vapourise as easily as PG either. I also got a lot of mouthfuls of juice I tried 80% of the Nova filled with VG mixed with 20% PG/VG and you get taste, less TH but loads of vapour. Pain in the arse to get the mix just right and I still get a wet Atty that bubbles and a chance of a mouthful of juice as well. So now I've moved to about 80% of the Nova with PG/VG and then just dilute it a bit with the 100% VG. That seems to be working better. Atty sounds dry, not much TH, decent taste but not as much vapour because there is less VG (still lots though.) It helps with using a higher voltage to help burn the VG as it's quite thick. In short I wouldn't recommend trying to vape 100% VG undiluted because it's a bit rubbish But as it's almost tasteless (to me) it's good to cut other harsh PG based juices with if you don't like TH. It also removes the dry throat problem you get with PG. I will avoid 100% VG in future though and go for 50/50 premixed and see what that is like. It's possible in something with a lot of power 100% VG might be vapeable but not with a Riva/ Twist and Nova.

I'd like to try it but I don't know how to do it with a Riva/ Twist and Clearos and a Nova. Don't you need a separate atty with a drip tip?

Yes you do Kib, a 306 or a 510 would be good on the batteries you have, should you pop round over the Crimbo period, I could show you have to drip . . . though it's pretty simple.

thanks for explaining Kibster, I am quite interested in dropping my pg to as low as I can get away with without ruining my vape, I was sent a little 100% GVC to try and will give it a go and see what it's like, I know Grant wasn't that impressed with it but I'll let you know

Andylec is selling some Bauway LR 306 bridged for £2.50 plus 90p postage in the classifieds if you are interested in dripping, I think you would still need to buy a drip tip though
