Killed my battery

Gah!

The last thing I wanted to do was to go into town tomorrow, but it looks like I'll have to now.

The top part of my Ego passthrough has been popping out of the housing for a couple of weeks. I've been muddling along and just pushing it back together, but it's meant I've only been able to use it at home. I got some superglue earlier and tried sticking it back together as I want to take it as a spare when I go visiting the family on Xmas day, but now it doesn't work at all.

I know there's a shop in Huddersfield that sells Totally Wicked branded stuff. Overpriced but it'll do, unless anyone knows of any other (better) shops in the area.

Chiller, I know you're fairly local - how about Bradford, Halifax, Brighouse or anywhere else handy?

I've only got one battery now (just my original 650 Ego batt), so it's making me very nervous! I'll buy a spare one tomorrow, which'll have to do for now. I'm ordering a Vamo as a Christmas pressie to myself, but I'll need something to keep me going until the slow boat arrives.

There's nothing local on the map unfortunately. I know there are Totally Wicked shops in Huddersfield and Brighouse, so I'll visit one of those tomorrow. So much for a nice relaxing day!

2 batteries really are the bare minimum, it's always good to have some back up!

I'll post on the Vamo shopping thread later as I'll want at least one set of spare batteries and a charger that isn't going to blow up, so will be asking for recommendations.

Wish me luck in town. *shudder* Might have to have some vodka ready mixed in the fridge for when I get back!

It's not worth trying to get cheap mod batteries and chargers, will only cost you more longterm!

Thanks Karma! Yeah, for batts and chargers I'd rather go to Jason - I know there won't be any worries about them being knock-offs. Definitely won't try and get them on the cheap as it's not worth the risk. If I was a bit closer I'd be going to his shop tomorrow!
