Arghh disaster ! One of my riva batteries decided to no longer work yesterday. It lights up when you press the button but doesn't do anything else. So I am left with 1 battery and a panic that that will go the same way. I did mean to order some spare batteries but was not wanting to spend the money until January payday, now I'm going to have to. How long are the batteries expected to last? The one that has failed is 6 weeks old I hope I have just been unlucky as I don't want to be replacing them that often. Am guessing that I might as well buy another starter kit for the price of the single batteries , or do I ditch the riva kit and move on to something "shinier" ha! I am quite happy with it but would like more vapour. Now to hope my remaining battery lasts until I manage to get some spares here.

Have you tried lifting the centre post of the battery as it may have got pushed down when either charging or conecting a device. Dave

I have had a try to get it going again but I think it's had it. It's showing as fully charged when i know it's not as I was using it till yesterday afternoon. When I put it on the charger the light stays green.

If the centre post on the battery is not high enough to make contact with the charger, then the charger will remain green.
Try raising the centre post of the battery with a small flat bladed screwdriver. It only has to come up a tiny bit and then try it in the charger again.

I don't know if the riva is made the same as the ego-t but the main problem from what I've read is the wire coming loose from the negative connector. it will still power the led but not the 510 adaptor.
His New Yawker accent is horrid btw!

Thanks for the link, tried that but still no joy :-[ The post didnt look to be pushed down anyway and i am careful with screwing carts and the charger on it. It died while i was using it so i think it has had it. Might as well order another starter kit as its only a few more pennies than 2 batts and i need some more carts and will get a spare charger too. Plus they have pink in stock now Really hope i get more than 6 weeks out of batteries from now on or this is going to become flipping expensive and i was enjoying the savings i had finally started to make

If youre gonna get another starter kit, it may be worth considering a Vamo if your not put off by the size, if you were looking at getting one eventually anyway..?
