He hee thank you im up and vaping away happily with a coffee, i did a nightshift last night and am currently at my sisters supposedly doing her cleaning as she has managed to break her arm ( swear she did it on purpose, her and housework do not mix ha! ) But for now i must weld my arse to the sofa and relax whilst whilst i play with my new toy. Its really rather good, far better than those clearomiser thngs, felt like i was inhaling air with them. I do really need to get a plinth though it does look a little odd

I have received a mini vivi nova tank this morning. ( Thanks to Vape Escape BTW for making sure i got the whole lot not just the tank i ordered in the first place ) What do i need to do with it? Can i just fit it and go? I have just been looking on you tube and people seen to have the string things cut really short. Mine are long and i have one already fitted to it out as it came out of the box however there are 2 included. Its going on a riva battery so is there a particular one i should use? Perhaps i should have stuck to cartomisers, i had the hang of them but i was finding they were running out during the day and was having to leave the house with stashes of them and lost some etc. Cannot get on with any clearomisers so this seemed to be a solution however i am a bit stuck now with what to do with the beast

Despite what i thought when i first started vapeing i hate all the tobacco ones i have tried. They all have some sort of strange taste that i cannot get on with.
Love Grizwalds Caramel Expresso, my 2 favourite things combined coffee and sweeties!
I am going to be really brave and try some fruity ones in the new year!

Thanks for the link, tried that but still no joy :-[ The post didnt look to be pushed down anyway and i am careful with screwing carts and the charger on it. It died while i was using it so i think it has had it. Might as well order another starter kit as its only a few more pennies than 2 batts and i need some more carts and will get a spare charger too. Plus they have pink in stock now Really hope i get more than 6 weeks out of batteries from now on or this is going to become flipping expensive and i was enjoying the savings i had finally started to make

I have had a try to get it going again but I think it's had it. It's showing as fully charged when i know it's not as I was using it till yesterday afternoon. When I put it on the charger the light stays green.

Arghh disaster ! One of my riva batteries decided to no longer work yesterday. It lights up when you press the button but doesn't do anything else. So I am left with 1 battery and a panic that that will go the same way. I did mean to order some spare batteries but was not wanting to spend the money until January payday, now I'm going to have to. How long are the batteries expected to last? The one that has failed is 6 weeks old I hope I have just been unlucky as I don't want to be replacing them that often. Am guessing that I might as well buy another starter kit for the price of the single batteries , or do I ditch the riva kit and move on to something "shinier" ha! I am quite happy with it but would like more vapour. Now to hope my remaining battery lasts until I manage to get some spares here.

Ahh Thank you all, you speak sense! I did have another cig yesterday but none today. So that makes 2 in 17 days compared to 15 a day I was getting through. Plus i possibly could have picked a better time to start trying to quit as i had a really important exam today. Now over and if i have passed fingers crossed i shall never have to read and repeat such utter pointless rubbish again And according to my phone app i have saved over 70 quid now ( OK i have probably spend that on vaping stuff but that does not count right?? ) I might have save up for another couple of weeks and treat myself to shiny new supplies yay! Also have a 24mg liquid winging its way to me so that might do the job nicely too. Its so flipping cold today i am enjoying sitting in my nice warm house with my riva rather than freezing stood outside smoking anyway

I have smoked today. Only 1 this afternoon but I rather liked it and would do it again . I'm so cross with myself, however this second week has been horrendous . I dread to actually think what is in cigarettes as I have been utterly depressed, weepy, really anxious yet tired at the same time It's certainly not for lack of nicotine as I am using my 18 or 20 mg juices on and off all day . Probably more than I smoked as I have lots of new flavours I had to try out . I am cross with myself however tomorrow is another day and all that. Just utterly shocked at how crap I felt even when happily topping myself up on nic. I think I am going to browse some more liquids tonight just to cheer myself up and stop me from raiding the goodie cupboard and watching moany films

Piper have they also removed your biscuits??? It is carnage on my ward! Nurses having sugar crashes everywhere. Some nice relatives left us some quality street today though so we survived (Just!)

I have done a whole week! Cannot believe it, had the week from hell too ( gotta love the NHS and lack of staff!) I walked past the desperate smokers outside the hospital entrance yesterday sat there in the freezing cold with IV's attached and decided that instead of lecturing them and doing nothing the hospital should hand out a free ecig during the smokers stay. Chances are a lot of them would continue to use it and at least would save them wandering off the ward and the harassed staff nurse I. E me looking for them. Not going to ever happen as they have taken our biscuits away from us now due to money saving. Biscuits i ask you?Honestly millions needs saving and they have nabbed the bourbon creams!! To any lurkers ( and i know you are there i was one for ages ha!) please give it a go. It sounds really complicated, my brain was fried trying to understand what to order and what bit goes where but once you actually get a kit in your hands tis easy

Day 3 on the e cigs. Last night i had a horrendously sore throat and by the time i went to bed i felt really tight chested and wheezy. Now i have been off work for 3 days and probably have been using my riva a lot more than i smoked TBH. Its a new toy for a start and i wanted to play with it and all the flavours of the eliquid that i got But also i have been wanting to make sure i didn't get to the OMG i need a cigarette stage so have probably just been topping myself up with nicotine all day. This morning I now have a lovely cough and am hacking up loads of crap too. How utterly glamorous ha! Am hoping this is just a side effect of stopping the cigarettes not my new toy that is causing my crap chest and cough. I do have a bit of a cold too which probably is not helping. Since i have started coughing i am not as tight chested and bizarrely even with cold i my sense of smell is certainly improving . Today i must order more liquid too, i have taken my counting of cigarettes left in my pack and the horror of nearly running out of them and put this onto my liquid stash. Now having mild panics that some of the little bottles are half empty. Apart from the crappy chest and obsession with how much liquid i have left its all going really well and actually easier than expected so far.

I don't use the tip thing I just shoved the plastic bung that came with it back on! Oops is that wrong ? I picked it out with a fork and have just dropped some more liquid on my 3 favourites ready for tomorrow morning. That's going to be my real test missing my morning cigarette however on the plus side i won't be stood outside in the pouring rain and howling wind as I was today at 6am! Flipping ridiculous really! So tomorrow I can sit with a leisurely coffee and my E-cig in the warm and dry . I really don't want to carry liquid around with me for the reason of I have an 18 month old and am paranoid that he gets his hands on the liquid. Childproof isn't always toddler proof caps though usually adult proof! I was struggling today with opening them! So I think I will top up 3 carts at night ready for the next day and be miss prepared ha!

I have done a whole day with my new toy now and so far flipping marvelous ! I have switched between the clearomiser and the cartomisers that came in the kit and for now I think i prefer the carts, probably because they are more cigarette like to me. I filled them using the condom method then dripped in from the top and have been puffing away happily on the various flavours. I have read though not to let them go dry , will I get some sort of warning of this? Or should I refill them every day at least the menthol one which I mainly use. Need to make sure I don't run out of anything when I go back to work on Friday or i will end up popping to be shop for cigarettes too . Thanks for all your advice so far , this forum is lovely and so helpful.

I have filled a couple of the cartomisers now as I bought a few different liquids to try. Like the menthol sensation and the expresso flavour not so keen on the ry 4. Bit sweet for me ATM but am hoping taste will change as I start to get over the ashtray mouth syndrome . Set the nhs smoke free app on my phone too. It's no where near as hard as I thought this e cigarette thing am starting to understand now I actually have the kit in front of me! Only problem now is I can see this becoming an expensive hobby.
