I've settled on 7.5w RMS for almost all combinations of juice & delivery device. Lovely

I worked out that all my Twists and LTs are vaping at around 8w with my settings, so it was a no brainer for me, 8w seems to be perfect whatever juice I'm vaping.

I tend to start and finish the day at about 8 watts, but most of the day I set at 9 watts. There are only a few juices that I use much (mainly tobacco) and my coils are pretty much all in the 1.5 - 2 ohm range. I use VV devices as well and just set the voltage that gives around the same power. I think power (watts) is the best indicator of the vaping experience and its great to be able to set it directly rather than have to calculate the voltage every time you change an atomiser.

I'm using a Vivi Nova mini (pilfered from my Ego-C twist for the mo.) with the low resistance wick in, measures 2.0/2.1 Ohms on the Vamo, currently vaping at anywhere between 7.5-8.5w using Decadent Vapours Lime Zinger. Yum, though not a patch on the Mentholyptus.

Fitzroy - when you say vaping around the 8w mark, what's your voltage at that point? Do you leave that at 3.0v (the default), or do you change that around a bit too? Just getting used to my Vamo, so any information is really helpful, thanks! Andy

I must be such a wimp! Anything over 5 watts is OTT for me.
I guess it's different strokes for different folks. Whatever keeps you off the ciggies is the correct setting for you.

In Watts mode the vamo measures the resistance of the head and sets the voltage to achieve the desired Watts using ohms law ( well it probably uses a lookup table )

I guess the idea is that if you change your tank/cartomiser or whatever to one with a different resistance you will get the same hit as the voltage will be adjusted automatically. Not sure if you're getting confused by holding down the "-" (left hand small button) this gives you how much power is left in your battery. According to the info on my battery (18650) it's fully charged at 4.2v and "empty" at 2.75v.

Kind of interested in the answer to this myself, I'm just using a couple of "Torchy" 2800mAh branded 18650's which I purchased for my MTB lights, bought from ebay, they're nipple headed.

While on the subject of batteries, what I have found very interesting is the length of time a battery will go for in the Vamo.I am using the very same 18350 batteries that I bought from Moju I think it was for my V.H. mini LT (which by the way was the biggest load of rubbish ever). In the LT these batteries needed changing after 2-3 hrs.The very same batteries are lasting me more than twice as long in the Vamo when it's in the mini mode,so I am more than pleased.
