Kernowman - I have a new eFest 18650 which has had its first overnight charge. I've just popped it into the Vamo, and will run until it gives up. I'll be interested to see just how long it lasts. I'll post here again in about a day I guess! Andy

i received my ss vamo today and thought i'd have a vape, its a lovely/ugly bugger but i found that the end cap gets really hot, i took the cap of and the spring was even hotter, i'm using a flat top panny 18650cgr with the spring slightly stretched to reduce the rattle, this cant be normal surely, no other mod has ever got near this hot!!! what could the issue be and is it safe to use?

Mine gets warm if I over do it The spring is only pushed onto a little knob on the end cap, it's not a very good electrical connection. Try rotating the spring to clean the contact area. Make sure the bottom of the cell is clean, a good rub with a cloth. Someone posted this recently: www.brewstersbatteries.co.uk/catalog/maglite-d-replacement-base-spring-p-159.html - Edited don't buy this spring it's way too big. The original post was in the hot spring thread and it's wrong.to replace the puny little spring supplied, I've ordered one, this will probably improve the heating problem. If all else fails drip some juice on the end cap and vape from that end

My endcap gets hot too - I just put the thing down for a couple of mins until it cools down. For information,, the 18650 which went in first thing yesterday morning still reading 3.8, so I should get almost another day out of it with luck! Andy

i have a hot spring on order as i dont have the argento any more and i'll give that a go, ive been vaping the vamo this eve and to be honest its fine, just a little hotter than i'm used to. i think i was concerned the battery was gonna blow up on me more than anything else. i tried the vamo with an aw imr 18650 and it still got hot so its prolly just the spring

Well, I finally took it out this morning, 48 hours later, and it wasn't completely discharged, still showing 3.5, as I wanted to take the Vamo out and about with an 18350 in. Efest now charged up again and ready for NYE party - should keep me vaping for 6 hours no problems! Proper 'ansum, I reckon! Andy

Solved the issues with mine from going through batteries like no tomorrow and powering off and on with any slightest movement. Used a spring from a torch from poundland and have no problems with it now batteries lasting much longer and no powering off and on all the time.

I use my in RMS Watts mode and like 9 watts using a VHGenesis, the coil is 1.7 Ohm. It produces like nobodys business. Oudoors I put it to 10 watts. I have replaced the standard big spring with a silver bullet hot spring.
I only have 18650's at the moment but I'm going to get a couple of 18350 to try out since that will make it fit my pocket better at work.
