Thanks Jerry. I've been familiarising myself with the forum and reading lots of posts. I'm puzzled by the constant references to 'juice' and bottles of this and that. My kit has no bottles of anything and my ciggies are not in 3 parts like those I've seen here.
Just the ciggie (battery) and the brown 'filter' end that has a cartridge in it and you push the vaporiser into that and it breaks the foil seal on the cartridge.
It all seemed a 'bit too easy' compared with what I'd been reading in other places about how to use them. Just charge it up, bung one of the cartridges in and off I go.
My first query is how long the charge lasts after charging it up. And how long roughly before you have to change a cartridge. Is it when the vapour stops appearing or what?
Sorry to be such a dunderhead but I live in Cyprus. And the small photocopied instruction sheet that came with mine is all in Greek! Not even any diagrams! And hardly anyone here has ever heard of them. They only had two in the pharmacy and one of those was duff.
Of course I bought the duff one first lol! Changed it for this one and am quite pleased with it.
First thought is it is BIGGER than a KS ciggie, bit longer and bit fatter.

Ok Tangutica, you didn't mention the name of the kit, but it appears to be a non-refillable cartomizer. A cartomizer is a cartridge and atomizer together, so a separate atomizer is not needed. Most of us started with one like that. You should change the cart, when the vapor becomes light, that means the juice is almost gone. As for the battery, it will probably need recharging about an hour after you start using it. It really all depends on how much you use it, but an hour is about right for what I think you have. Most of us have moved on to more sophisticated and complicated e-cigs. We use cartridges, drip tips and now there are self feeding ones. We use separate atomizers with these setups and the cartridges are refillable. That's where the bottles of juice or e-juice comes into play, as we refill our own cartridges. Here is a list of suppliers in the UK. You may want to check them out and it should give you a good idea of what is available to us. allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=suppliers&action=display&thread=2Also, you are not a "dunderhead". We were all thoroughly confused when we started vaping, at least I was.

Hello & welcome Tang - good to see you here As Jerry says, it does sound like you have bought some kind of 2 piece starter kit - ie a battery & a cartomiser. Not necessarily a bad thing to start off with. But we do need a bit more info/pics to see if we can help you to refill it wit juice (e-liquid) Just keep asking as many questions as you need to, no matter how daft they may seem to you

Hello again. The battery lasts much longer than an hour - all day. Yes it is a 2 piece thingie. But there are 3 bits. One has a little metal bit on it that pierces the thing inside the 'filter tip' which is sealed in foil.
I am afraid the 'make' is a mystery. It is just called Jama (but spelt the greek way) mini e cigarette. Cost about €75 and the refill packs of 5 of the cartridge things are about €4.75 each.
The fact that ciggies are still less than equiv. 2.50 a pack here in Cyprus should show you how serious I am about trying this out. It's probably cheaper to buy ciggies!
I did take some photos of it all - I will post them soon if that is possible on here.

About the battery. I have two. I put one on charge in the morning and it lasts all day. And put the other on charge when I take that one off.
The only thing I would say I am not keen on so far is that it makes a sound a bit like sucking on an empty straw or drawing air in thro' your teeth. Really don't like that.

Hello Tang! LTNS! You do get used to the noise and the extra weight believe me, you'd probably find it alot cheaper to refill your carts with ejuice if that's possible with the make you have . . . . to post a picture here, upload it to Photobucket and c&p the IMG code - 4th/last code.

Hi and thanks for all the welcomes. I will upload some piccies tomorrow. I doubt these could be refilled though.
The battery is the white ciggie bit (got two of those) they just screw onto the small charger. The rest of it is contained in the filter tip bit and it is all sealed in foil tightly fitted inside and when you push the V shaped (atomiser?) into the top of it, it pierces the foil then you screw the two bits together.
No flavours available, just tobacco in three different strengths. I've got the strongest coz you wouldn't believe how many REAL ciggies I can go thro in a day! And think if I wanted fruit flavoured baccy I'd stick with the nargyle pipes that are so popular here!
I doubt I could be bothered with all the refilling! I've already been astounded at the amount of add ons and accessories you can get for these things!
But I am a REAL beginner at the mo. Can't really give facts and figures yet awhile.

It's starting to sound like you have a "Smoking Everywhere" kit, Tang. If the part that pierces the foil in the cartridge, screws off of the battery, then it's probably an atomizer. I think that the SE e-cig is a model 403, but I'm not sure.

Me again! Have had a good look at what I have got here now.
The cartridges (bits that look like a filter tip) are called ATOMISED CARTRIDGES.
However, the daft bint in the pharmacy has sold me what looks like 3 or 4 different types (all in same boxes tho - just coding different).
Normal High Marl High Low (and a box of 'em with just ON on it!)
They are not all the same either inasmuchas some are like what I am using right now - open top tube with foil sealed thingie in it.
Some have a little cap on the tube and when you take it off you can see the moist wadding stuff in there.
Still others have a sort of soft rubbery ridged cap fitted as a lid and gawd knows what they are about.
I am going back to the pharmacy AGAIN tomorrow!
What I've decided to do is use these easy type things to get used to it and then look into what else I can buy and whether I can get refillable stuff to use with existing cigarette batteries or what.
At the mo I am not in the least bit interested in FLAVOURS - I want it to taste like a smelly old nicotine fag!
Lots of questions occur to me for the future re this refilling stuff - like how do you get on if you are out and about a lot or travelling?
And I'm still puzzled by the comment that the battery probably only lasts an hour. I've just put mine on but it was still working when I did. I am finding the two batteries last across the 24 hours - one all day and one all night.
They told me to expect a pack of cartridges (4 in it) to last about as long as a pack or 2 of cigarettes?
One thing I am wondering about is how you know whether it is the battery or the cartridge that is running down?
I thought it was my batt yesterday but when I put a fresh cartridge in - it worked OK again.
More study required here obviously!

With the bit that pierces the foil pushed into the filter before screwing onto the battery. Yes it does screw onto the battery. I am assuming this bit of hardware in the middle doesn't need replacing regularly?

I feel like I am MONOPOLISING THE FORUM here! I've got so many questions. And since I started looking on the web for replacement cartridges or cartomisers or waddever - I am even MORE confused.
there seem to be all different sized ciggies how the hell do you know if the cartridges will fit yours?
Am thinking of ordering another simple one and having it sent over to my son in UK before I get there at the end of this month.
But have already spent €100 euro on this one and extra cartridges. I can buy 800 ciggies for that over here lol!
