Tang, don't worrying about monopolising the forum - you aren't doing so anyway I'm off out in a minute so just a quick reply for now. Your e-cig is a DSE103 - it's actually classed as a super-mini. The bit of "hardware" in the middle is the atomiser & it does need replacing on a fairly regular basis. Most starter kits do come with a selection of different strength cartridges, & that's what you have got with yours. The "ON" ones will be "NO" nicotine in them.

Lol, Chrissie, I was dying to get to the end so I could tell Tang she was reading the ON upside-down Tang, our MagicMa used the same kit for yonks, very successfully. You'll be able to buy juice (e-liquid) and blue foam (or similar, like Fluval fish-tank filter, but I prefer blue foam) to refill the cartridges and save loadsa money! Totally Wicked/TECC sell spares - they call it the Super: www.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk/products/electronic-cigarette-accessories-2-products.htmlThey've got 15% off at the mo. scylla

Scylla, Totally Wicked/TECC's super mini is actually a RN4081 & though the batteries & atomisers are compatible with the DSE103, I don't think the cartridges are. But that wouldn't be too much of a problem if Tang decides to stick with her super- mini Tang, here's a pic of the RN4081 - as you can see the atomiser looks slightly different to yours but the screw threads are the same : - And a short video showing you how to refill the RN4081 & the same method should apply for your DSE103.

What really is amazing me right now is the fact that the batts last you the whole day???! 0o How often do you vape on it?! I get stressed if for some reason I forget to charge one of the Rivas during the night, and they are yet to fail me.... Maybe I am way too scared of needing a vape and for some reason the bloody batt dies on me!

Got a bit more time now so going to try & answer a few more of your queries Tang My keyboard is playing up so apologies for the typos Some keys seem to work one minute but not the next. The prefilled cartridges you have : - Normal High - I think that will be a high tobacco flavour with a nicotine level of abaout 24mgMarl High - Marlborough flavoured (well sort of ) Also with a nicotine content of probably 24mgLow - most likely somewhere between 4 & 8 mg nicotine(and a box of 'em with just ON on it!) - turn the box upside down "NO" means zero nicotine "They are not all the same either inasmuchas some are like what I am using right now - open top tube with foil sealed thingie in it.
Some have a little cap on the tube and when you take it off you can see the moist wadding stuff in there.
Still others have a sort of soft rubbery ridged cap fitted as a lid and gawd knows what they are about." From the above, I'm wondering if you ave been given either a mixture of the 103 atties & 4081's or some of them could be cartomisers ? Don't want to confuse you wit too much jargon at the moment so will explain cartomisers at a later date. "Lots of questions occur to me for the future re this refilling stuff - like how do you get on if you are out and about a lot or travelling?"
- Refilling becomes as easy as lighting a fag - you can also refill several cartridges & just bung the rubber caps back on them Plus lots of newer devices that will last you all day on just one refill - again will go into that laterAs Aldo said, how often are you vaping on it? From memory, the super-mini's battery is only about 250mah (someone please correct me if I'm wrong ) so unlike larger e-cigs, the battery will need recharging far more often. If the battery needs recharging, the led light (tip of the e-cig) should start flashing & the atomiser will stop heating up. If your cartridge needs refilling/replacing the vapour will start to drop off.

I'm getting fed up already - back to the pharmacy tomorrow. The only cartridges that worked properly were the foil sealed ones. The others with a wad and a cap - the atomiser thingie doesn't reach the wad thingie.
I want this to be as super EASY as possible to begin with while I am travelling with it. I will look into all the mystery of it later on.

Does the atomiser need to be in physical contact with the wadding plug?
And no, I didn't get these cartridges with a 'starter kit' I had to bluddy pay for them separately (and they are 4.75 for four).
And I told them I wanted the strongest poss. And ended up with probably all they had left on the shelf. I am going back tomorrow!
One point - it is BIGGER than a King size ciggie. Both in length and in circumference. And yes, I did see inside the box it says it is a SUPER
I will be the only plonker in Cyprus using this. Can't find anyone else with one or to advise!
Thank you for the ON means NO. What the *&*& would a hardened smoker like me want with a NO Nicotine refill! lol!

Thinking about it ... why would anyone want NO nicotine cartridges in a replacement cigarette? I don't get it!

Tang, it sounds to me like they sold you a miss-matched group of leftover parts.
The tip of the atomizer should be close to the fluff (wadding), but I don't think that it should touch it.
Some people want zero nicotine e-juice, because they have kicked the nicotine habit, but not the hand to mouth habit. They want something to just puff on, but don't want the nicotine anymore.

Thanks Jerry. Well with the ones that worked well (foil sealed) the atomiser of course had to 'puncture' them so was well buried in the wadding under the foil.
I will tell you the story of my purchase of this. Went to pharmacy number one. They had some refills but no actual e ciggie.
Pharmacy number two has TWO. One all contained in the fancy box with tiny charger and mains lead thingie. The other with a lead and 3 pin plug fitted just coiled on top of the box and all in a clear plastic bag. I queried this. They said 'they used to come in like that and now they come with the 3pin plug on. As they only had the two - both same type - nothing to compare with.
I bought the one with the plug as we use 3pin here same as UK. Well, when I got it home the first thing I noticed was the rough photocopied instrucs all in Greek. Next thing I noticed was that the battery turned green (charged) VERY quickly. They'd said 12 hrs for first charge. So I tried the other battery and that stayed red. I started to suspect it had been used and taken back.
Then I got to trying out the ciggie once the battery was charged. They'd said you get one FREE cartridge. I screwed it on (it was not a foil sealed one) then noticed INDENTS all round the filter?
First I thought they were design, so got another out of one of the boxes I'd bought - no they were TEETH MARKS! gawd.
I took the lot back and remonstrated loudly. The did the Cypriot shrug and said 'musta been used in the factory' (yeah right)
I said I would take the other one and also told them I didn't believe they now come with a 3pin plug fitted that doesn't fit in the box. That whoever had been using it had fitted the plug. (Another shrug).
Anyway opened up the other one to check it and first thing I noticed was that the ciggie batteries were sealed in polythene tubes. The others hadn't been - pointed this out to them as further proof of it being used (yet another shrug - it's probably back on the shelf for sale - it's like that here - no adherence to consumer laws whatsoever - no refunds etc.) They even tried to take a cartridge off me for the one I'd used in the original one! No way jose.
I just want to get this sorted before I fly over to the UK next Wednesday. Both my son and his lovely wife have kicked the weed. They don't mind me smoking but I just think it would be nice not to foul up their lovely historic home in Bath and not to be tempting them with the smell of baccy smoke either! Plus you now can't bloody smoke anywhere hardly in the UK anyway so I will be interested to try this in the pubs!
I couldn't be arsed with rollups for long when I switched to them in the UK because of the fiddling about. I think what i should do is just get used to smoking the heavy plastic fag before I get acquainted with all the ins and outs of refills and flavours and so on.
So back to the pharmacy tomorrow and I will be telling them the ZERO NICO cartridges are NO use to me AT ALL! They'll be delighted to see me no doubt.
I'm a bit bothered what I will do if the atomiser dies. As I don't know which one to get as replacement and don't wanna buy the whole thing over again. And am assuming I will have no bother getting bits and bobs for it in the UK as opposed to over here where EVERYBODY still smokes and hardly anyone even rolls their own.
YOU GUYS ARE GREAT! BIG THANK YOU and sorry for keep popping in at random and just thinking aloud! But it really is a help to me. Me and my lecky fag are just an 'oddity' here! It's like 'arrr yess I've 'eard of those - give it here' and me 'NO don't put that in your mouth!' lol!
I'm a big fraught with the travel date looming in a week and with work (it already being start of new tax year here and the UK one looming and got to sort my shite out there with HMRC before I go too)
Don't tell anyone but I've just been out to buy a packet of fags lol!

I like wordiness :-)
Sounds to me like whilst your in the UK you should order some liquid and maybe some spare atties and batteries, they'll be cheaper than your local pharmacy ! I haven't a clue who sells that e-cig,i've never had a mini.Sure someone will point you in the right direction. As for travel i always carry nic gum with me as a just-in-case and smokes too as i still have the odd one now and again.

Tang, I started vaping with a Smoking Everywhere kit. I soon found out that it was old technology and that I had paid too much for it. That happens to a lot of us, when we start vaping.
There are so many options out there, so many different types of e-cigarettes and ways to use them, that it overwhelms the new user. The good thing is, that you started vaping. Don't let it get you down, if you have to go back to using cigarettes, do it, but when you can, get a good quality e-cig kit, like a 901 or a 510.
In the meantime, do a little research, see what the Internet vendors have to offer. Browse the listing of UK vendors and see what is available and what might interest you. The best and cheapest way is through the Internet.

Jerry is so right on all scores, It does sound like you have been sold some mismatched bits & pieces. I may be wrong but I think the super-mini 103 cartridges are the ones with foil that needs to be pierced - hence why they work. The others are most likely RN4081 cartridges that don't work so well on your model Tang. I started off with a RN4081 super-mini from Pillbox (Totally Wicked/TECC) the same model that Magicmadam has been using. It worked - but there are far better out there. That was coming up to 3 years ago so as Jerry also says - it's old technology. Tang, I'm sure we could find you some parts that would work - for instance a super-mini atomiser & cartridges from Totally wicked should work fine on your battery - but.... ... If you would be prepared to go for a larger e-cig (about the size of a cigar) then you will be amazed at how much better it works. One of the best deals going is the Riva 510 from Liberty Flights - use the discount code ECR69 at checkout to get 15% off. www.liberty-flights.co.uk/product.asp?id=78You will need to order some e-liquid as well - you can buy it from the same place but I'd recommend Paradise Vapes, the LnB is especially good : - paradisevapeuk.vstore.ca/product_info.php/pName/l-n-b/cName/ejuice-tobacco
