Hi everyone, and a very Happy new year to you all. I'm determined to quit smoking for 2013, with the help of ecigs and this very great forum. I bought some nico-lites cigs last week, and although it's helping me cut down (a bit), I'm still smoking quite heavily. I've been smoking Cutters Choice roll-ups for many years, long before it became "fashionable" for many to smoke roll-ups, and smoke around 25 a day. I'm probably smoking around 15 a day now. But I want to smoke more SO BAD! Struggling a little but determined to quit for good. I had no idea forums like this existed, or that there were other types of ecigs, yet alone the bewildering array of vapour kits! Wish I'd known before sending for another Ecig kit. I wanted something slimmer, more like a roll up, so ordered a " ladies" ECG kit, in pink, as it was slimmer and looked nice, but it's not arrived yet, from somewhere called KiM Trading UK. But I'm aware after reading this forum that I may need to get something else if it doesn't help, although cant afford another kit just yet. Please could anyone give me some advise, have I made a mistake or is that kit ok for now? What kit should I get next when I'm a little more able to afford it? Which is the best kit to replicate smoking roll-ups, and any other tips you can give me? Thanks so much in advance.

Hello & welcome Smokeybebe Unfortuantely the small ciggie lookalikes don't really cut it for most folks - unless they only smoked about 5 a day I've not heard of the new one you have sent fro - so off to google it & see what I can find out

OK, is this the kit you ordered? - www.kimtrading.co.uk/-ladies-cigarette---pink-58-p.aspIf so it looks like it's a 3 piece super-mini. ie.e it uses a separate atomiser & cartridges rather than a cartomiser & I can't see that that site has any replacement atomisers for sale

Yo smokeybebe, I also smoked roll-ups, either Amber or Cutters, sometimes GV or even Drum light. I can't remember a lot about it, but if I do try one, it's a most horrible experience. I keep some spare just in case....which never seems to happen. When you say "ladies ECG" what have you bought? Regrettably, although some folk quit using things like Nicolites, unfortunately there are drawbacks. The cost, the battery life and, um, don't know how to break this; but unless you smoke 10 silk cut a day, these e-cigs will leave you effectively and unknowingly (discounting cravings) cutting your nicotine intake. I wasted too much money on E-Lites. After some research I realised I had gone from 15mg a day (that's nicotine intake) down to using two carts a day (£7.99) which provide less than 15mg. In fact, some of the "best e-cigs in the UK", if you vape them according to the instructions are probably no more use than a few lozenges or puffs on an inhaler. I could do a day without fags with a 24mg nicotine patch, but I missed the "act" of smoking, and the paraphernalia of rolling my own. I can say, without any doubt these days, that I no longer smoke . Not only that, but if it wasn't for the support of the members on here, I think I'd never have made it. I don't crave nicotine, I don't miss smoking and I learnt what I needed to know on hereGood luck. I'm sure you will be bombarded with ideas for "kit" and accessories. Keep your Nicolites, whatever you decide to do. Dave

#7261_9485# #7261_9485# Hi and Thankyou everyone, what a speedy bunch for answering! Chrissie, yes that's the kit I ordered..I'm guessing it's not going to be any good though? Dave, that's great that you are now a non- smoker! You give me hope. The problem I have also is that I enjoy smoking, and enjoy the act of rolling etc, but I think if I can get as close to the taste of a rollie, I might be able to finally give up with the help of you all. I've got to get used to using the forum first though, I'm finding that a bit difficult, lol, but I will get there in the end. Reading some of the threads on here is like double- Dutch, lots of terms that I don't understand, a bit over-wheeling at times but I hope it will soon be a second language to me, and that I will be "vaping" with the best of you. I give up smoking every new years eve......and start again new years day, lol, but hopefully not this time. I'm SO glad I found this forum Thanks all of you for such a nice welcome

Dave, that's great that you are now a non- smoker! You give me hope. The problem I have also is that I enjoy smoking, and enjoy the act of rolling etc, but I think if I can get as close to the taste of a rollie, I might be able to finally give up with the help of you all. If I can do it, anyone can. Although I admit there are huge numbers on this forum who smoked way more than me, so they have done better..... I can't help thinking that the habit and the intake amount of nicotine is a kind of pot luck thing. You can't match the taste of cigarettes with vaping. There are "dry" liquids which I call the "ash tray" variety that are similar in a way to standard fags. There are also liquids that have real tobacco elements, which I certainly enjoy. www.thealchemistscupboard.co.uk/page/wlteBasically though, the TAR-taste and SMOKE-taste of a real cig cannot be replicated that well as yet. Everyone is different. Some people immediately want to get away from tobacco flavours. I always have a clearomiser full of something tobacco-ey. or www.vapourbase.co.uk/clearomizers-30-c.aspor www.vapeescape.co.uk/mini-nova~404These are liquid tanks which work in a different way to cartridges or cartomisers, or even e-tips (E-Lites) or cartridge refills (SkyCig). There's a lot to learn, I know someone will post a link to pages on here to help. I'll be back later.

Welcome == maybe an idea is look at some of the vendor links and look at the ejuice, theres a lot that do similar to taste to your rollie stuff, will say go for a relative high nic and gradually decrease it ie 24mg or 18mg ,i used to cane a 12.g a day of GV so dont feel to bad, started on 36mg Virginia, was in cloud 9 for a while lol eventually you will may want to try other flavours, may be best to look in the classified section for some who are selling juices cheaply for you to try .......
ps be warned stay away from the shiny things there so good you WILL buy more lol we all did
