I could kill my Daughter! An hour ago I mentioned that my parcel hasn't come, and she said "oh, 2 parcels came for you earlier today, I put them in my room & forgot!" !!! > I rushed to open them, both my orders had come! So I've been trying them out, but my initial excitement has been tempered a little cuz I'm having a few teething problems? I've been trying the ecab, with the juice I ordered (Virginia), and first of all I found it too strong, it kind of burns the back of my throat, so I took lighter puffs, which helped a little, but now I'm having problems with the juice leaking out of the mouth piece into my mouth, and it's VILE! I took it apart, cleaned it out, re-filled it, and it's a bit better but still happening a bit? What am I doing wrong? I also tried the other kit, from KiMTrading, the extra slim ecig, but all I can taste on that one is a horrible plasticky taste. So I'm putting that one away and concentrating on the ecab for now. I love the look of it, but how do I stop the juice seeping into my mouth? Is the Virginia one known to be strong? And are there any juices anyone can recommend please? I know it's personal taste, and I thought I only wanted Baccy flavours, but already I'm wishing I had ordered a few small ones of other flavours to try. Like I said, probably only teething problems but I'd like to sort this out. Thanks in advance.

Hi Smokeybebe Vaping is very different to smoking - if you're getting loads of juice in your mouth you may be sucking too hard (cue loads of sniggers!!!) There's a thread on here somwhere about vaping technique and maybe someone can link to it (can't find it, sorry), but it really makes a difference. Try pressing the button slightly before you start to inhale, and then inhale slowly for a few seconds. It's not like taking a drag on a rollie at all, and the difference takes a bit of getting used to. If you find there's some extra juice in there you could try pressing the button without inhaling at all, which should burn it off a bit. I hope that's right and that it helps. I'm still pretty new to all this myself! StS

Smokey - +1 on the STS comments above, you may be drawing to hard. It's quite different to a quick puff on a ciggie. Go slow and long (more sniggers!) and make sure you don't have any juice in the centre tube (I'm not conversant with that particular model of e-cig, but try blowing into a tissue from the mouthpiece end to cleaf any loos joose!) Hope this helps and that you can get over your initial problems and start enjoying it! May be worth having a search through some of the vendors and getting some small 5ml testers to try out some other types of flavours. Andy

Belated #welcome2# Sorry you are having problems with the juice leaking out. Do persevere - there are lots of different ways to do this, and you will find one that works for you. If you have the Riva kit from VapeEscape then you have cartomisers (things the size of cigarette tips) and a clearomiser tank. Do you get the same problem with both? By the way, you share (part of) a name with an outfit that probably has the best rep for selling juices that taste like roll-ups - OK Smokey. I wouldn't buy anything from them except juice. If you want a box with lots of flavours to try then you might like www.miragecigarettes.co.uk/shop/oasis-e-liquid-sample-pack.html

hi all, and thanks for your advice, it's very appreciated. I've taken the advice about not sucking too hard ( cue sniggers) and it definitely is helping, but I really don't like the Virginia juice, I'm finding it very harsh. I stupidly bought a 30ml bottle too There's also a loud wet-guzzlingie sound when I draw on the mouthpiece, not a nice sound! I thought that because I smoked roll-ups, with no filter, that I'd need something strong, but obviously this is too strong. Is there anything I can mix with it to make it smoother? I've looked at the sampler bottles posted by Gilles, and may give them a go, but I've already spent such a lot of money so I'm wary of ending up with just 1 or 2 small bottles that I like and it being a waste? I can't believe I'm even considering different flavours, lol...when I first looked on here I thought " why have any other flavour than tobacco? It seems daft, all I want is to replicate baccy! ". Now here I am wanting nice flavours! I've read the juice reviews but I'm confused. ( not hard,,granted, lol). What juice do you recommend that's smooth, tasty, and gives a throat-hit without making me cough my guts up. I have a sweet tooth, if that helps? Dunno if that's the way it works though? I've read about Vanilla custard, which had a lot of good reviews, and lemon meringue , both those sound nice.? Oh, and I'm using the e- cab, in case that's a deciding factor.

I didn't realise that it was the e-cab you were getting, i thought you'd bought the Riva! I'm not a fan of those types of tanks. If you get one of these adapters www.vapeescape.co.uk/ecab-to-510-adapter~446you'll be able to try out many other delivery devices! You may get on better with something like this www.vapeescape.co.uk/mini-nova~404Juice is a difficult one. The suggestion to buy small sample bottles is good. Once you get your head round that no juice will taste like burning tobacco there are smoe nice tobacco flavours to be found! I don't like virginia flavour either and I was a rollie smoker! Many of us like this one www.vapeescape.co.uk/black-cat~294

Hi an welcome smokeybebe. If you are getting a gurgling sound its probably juice in the airhole/tip. Take the top off the battery and blow down the tip onto a tissue until no more juice comes out then screw up some tissue to shove down the tip to get anything in there out. When I started I got a harsh taste and the answer was that as well as the slow suck (quiet at the back there ) you want to hold the vapour in your mouth for half a second or so before inhaling.

If you get a bottle of glycerine from boots and mix a small amount at 10% with distilled water 90% glycerine you can then take a small amount of your ejuice and put it in a mixing vessel and add small amounts of the glycerine mix this will lower the nic. content and tend to mute the flavour slightly but only use small amounts to mix

Smokey, I was going to suggest the same thing as Ron. You can also buy small bottles of glycerine from the baking section of most supermarkets.
I've also never used the ecab type atomisers & tanks, so not going to be able to help you there. Daft question though, as well as pressing the button before you inhale, are you also holding the button down while inhaling? If not, that could be a reason for getting juice in your mouth.

If you decide to go for a pick-n-mix of new juices you could try mixing some of them with the baccy flavour to sweeten it a bit - cherry and vanilla would both work well. Then at least you can get through your 30ml bottle. As soon as I tried a fruity flavour I never went back to ciggy flavours. Sooooo much nicer!

Good advice Sarah, also, if you like menthol you can use it to kill the taste of any disagreeable juice

Thanks so much for all your help, this is an amazing forum! Ron, that's a good idea, I will pop into boots tomorrow and buy some glycerine, give it a go, thanks. Chrissie thanks for the video, very informative. Yep I'm holding down the button while I inhail, although I wasn't at first , lol. It does help. Thanks Dave, I did as you said and it definitely is better, not any seeping into my mouth now, thank god, cuz it was NASTY! Karma, yep I admit I ordered the ecab purely because I liked the colour , but after all your help I think I'm getting on ok with it now, although I've still got to find a juice I like. I'm not keen on menthol, so maybe will add something else to the Virginia? Sarah, I'm starting to lean towards the fruity flavours already, which is a surprise to me as I only thought I'd ever want tobacco flavours. So if anyone has any recommendations, I will research and carefully consider any that are suggested. I know finding the right juice is the clincher as to whether I succeed or fail at giving up baccy for good. I've been reading all the sub-forums on here, and it's mind- boggling really ??? I like the sound of a lot of different ones. I've enquired about a melon one, a custard one, and a lemon pie one, I've seen a baileys Irish Cream one, (my favourite drink!) and a white chocolate one (my favourite food ) So many to consider, lol. I want something smooth and creamy, not harsh. I guess the only way to know is to try them? Suggestions great fully received .
