Well although Eggplants would gave you the highest return for your nicotine from that list, I think, all things considered, that for now Tobacco gives us a better yeild!

Fascinating thread I do not have anything to contribute but I enjoyed reading it.

I think this is the plant that we had in our garden, although I doubt it's the variety used for producing cigarette/pipe tobacco: www.wildchicken.com/nature/garden/nature_200_082.htmBelieve it or not, there's an internet forum dedicated to growing tobacco - howtogrowtobacco dot com. I think you'd have to be pretty desperate to resort to growing your own.

I had one of those nicotiana in my garden for a while, the flowers do smell very strong at night. I think they are part of the tobacco plant family but unfortunately they are no good for smoking/vaping.

The tobacco plant is very unusual in that it uses the soil that it is growing in and adapts itself to the conditions of that soil. Growers reckon that within 3 growing seasons it will develope into a strong and healthy, high yeilding plant. I should imagine that by year 3 of rationing during WW2, folks were getting pretty desperate for an unlimited supply of cheap (free) tobacco, just as we might be after 3 years of an EU ban on nic base.

Pity, Lobeydosser, that you don't live near me. I have the garden but nobody to do the digging.

But they won't be able to ban tobacco leaves - which we can steep into our own tobacco flavour. I am stocking up myself, just ordered 4 liters of 60mg VG base from RTS vapes - they don't have 72 or 75, unfortunately. Could you let me know how you get on with your RTS Vapes order as their prices are very good , especially with the 20% off FIRSTORDER coupon .....under £50 a litre

I just hope that Chrisde has not ordered this all in one go. Such a large order will almost certainly be inspected by UK Customs and if that happens he/she will have to pay Customs Duty on it. Also, unless the company that is sending it is savy to UK Customs practise, they are likely to put the full value on the package which will make that package stand out as being liable for Customs Duty.

I think Chrisde lives in Germany, so may not have a problem (dunno what German customs are like mind)

Yes, I am in Germany, and I ordered this all in one go (Its their smallest "bulk" amount). I had it sent to London, though, and I will have it forwarded to Germany from there. Paying import VAT and customs duty is normal for me, I always add it to my calculations. German customs inspect every single parcel anyway, no "slipping through" for us. And I doubt they would let 4 liters of 60mg through. They have no legal reason to confiscate it, but they always try and it is bothersome.

Hi Peeps. I ordered a batch of 200 10ml Tamper evident dropper bottles from www.dormex.co.uk. I think they worked out at less than 20p a bottle. Though a warning they can be quite frustrating to deal with. You may have to double check the invoice they send and then remind them you have ordered stuff. However I did Eventually get my 200 dropper bottles at a very good price. (I do prefer the squishy childroff ones though)
