Just put in my third order of Cappella's from Frogster (Alchemsists Cupboard). Shockingly this means I have now ordered 90ml of CVC, and gone through about 150ml of PVC since this thread started I am pretty certain I have vaped nothing put Vanilla Custard for at least 2 months now !!

One week into the advised three week steep period. It's been tough, but I'll get through it. Do ultrasonics do the biz?

Patience grasshopper. If you're a week in you should have your second batch made now. Make a batch each week and after the initial three weeks you will always have some ready-steeped

Oneday, that would require planning and forethought. Two things I lack! Have some 20% VC without the extras steeping a day behind the PVC so maybe not all is lost.

I was vaping my first PVC within the first 3 days to be honest, though now I always make sure to have at least 30ml steeping
I have some which has steeped for a week, so I just tried it on a drip tip. It tastes great to be honest.
Not quite as nice as my fully steeped stuff but lovely all the same.
I'd just give it a go if I were you.

TPA's French Vanilla instead is an option Macca . . . that doesn't have the custard notes in it, it'll help add some creaminess if you feel your mix needs it that is. Or Vanillin Crystals. You could add some Caramel Stitch, but I'd let it steep and see if you like it unsweetened first. Perp's Is there any difference between TPA's French Vanilla and Capella's French Vanilla ? I made a 30ml brew, however I added a further few drops of Vanilla Custard, and it killed the creaminess flavour So,I added a few more extra drops of PG, and the creamy taste has reappeared, its more subtle, is it worth adding a few more drops of PG? would that enhance the flavour even further? Cheers mike

Now have 4 bottles with a week between each, so should be future-proofed for the time being, more mixing this weekend with a mate! Andy

Cheers mike I haven't tried Capella's French Vanilla yet, so I'm unable to give you a definitive answer really Mike. Maybe someone who has used both would be able to advise better? TPA's French Vanilla Deluxe does contain diketones, which add to the creaminess levels quite considerably. Not everyone wants to vape those, so they choose Vanilla concentrates that don't contain them, but it will compromise the overall flavour. How long have you left your mix to steep? I reckon 3 weeks really for it to be at it's very best. If you add too much PG, it could dilute your flavour down by more than you'd like.

Ive left 30mls to steep for 18 days - then I vaped 3mls. it was creamyish, so I used a few more VC drops, it was muted, then I added a few drops of Capella French Vanilla and it was worse :-(- so I added a few drops of PG,and it revived it slightly. I've ran out of VC,so Ill have to buy some more. apart from Capella, is CCW's Custard any good? Maybe next time i should use TPA French Vanilla ? wonder if dulse de leche would save it? First time i made my first VC it was 10ml, I could smell the custard from the bottle, but on the 30ml, the smell was not strong ,and the colour this time is like a whisky colour. Cheers Mike

Cheers Mike Vanilla is one of those flavours that does benefit greatly from steeping Mike, so if you tried it soon after adding more then it probably wasn't very nice. A number of members do also use use D de L in their VC mixes, so it's worth a try. Don't use much though as it is quite potent. Although sometimes I think we can tweak our mixes too much and make them worse, rather than better. Maybe it's best just to learn from that mix for the next one? That's what I tend to do if something really hasn't met my expectations. TPA do a French Vanilla ( without diketones ) and a French Vanilla Deluxe ( with diketones ) I like the Deluxe myself. CCW's Custard from what I've read isn't as nice as Capella's, although perfectly acceptable. TPA make a Vanilla Custard and that for me is closer ( maybe nicer ) than Capella's . . . though there's a whisker in it for my taste buds.

I have used Capella's French Vanilla mixed with the vanilla custard Perps & Mike, and it is quite yummy........not tried it by itself as yet, just used it to add a little something to my last mix of VC
