found a surgical steel splatter guard. At £65 i'll stick with fluff - I'm sure there are others though lol!

now prob with VG whatsoever ian? I am currently saving money to get a mod, so I can't really splash money! I think I'll end up with one of those or the UFS when I get me mod, but till then I have to accept these ideas coming along the way will look for a stainless steel one as it can be washed ove and over again with no degrading whatsoever!

Fair play mate, was just thinking that it may harm your health using metal mesh as a filler.

thinking off the top of my head here.....
what about using the mesh from a silicone bakeware splatter guard??
I know breathing in silicone would be a BAD idea, but the bakewear is designed to cope with very high heat???
Or am i talking out of my behind

and I've just found out it really might ! that's why I will be looking for a stainless steel one to try and reduce the risk while I don't get the tank! but tbh I don't really want to stick with carts I'm using them atm to avoid problems with the clearos and VG juices, cause I found out they don't wick prop or fast enough!

I agree 100%, PG is far better in the clearos and in the map tank.I dont use VG anymore, as it wicks so very poorly,i just stick to 100% PG and add my own flavours.I feel sorry for anyone sensitive to PG, as VG is piss poor IMO.If you like throat hit and good wicking then you cant beat 100% PG IMO.

well... It deff s*cks at the wicking department ! But I can't stand 100%PG juice, it just doesn't satisfy me ! I need the "deepness" of a good 50/50 mix if you know what I mean (well you probably don't cause you prefer 100PG lool! )

I do understand mate, ive used many 50/50 mixes.Oh well, just try a 70/30 and see how it goes. Its all a big experiment until you strike goldwith these tanks, i only get no wicking issues using pure PG mixes.Hmm,in saying all this CE2s have always been famous for poor wicking.

You couldn't be in my bad books (((Ian))), you brighten my days I was thinking of the plasticky foam/filler that we regularly use. That's got to have a lower burning point than metal, surely ??? But I can see that some metals might react badly with the juice. Innit awful not being a scientist? scylla x

Oh i see what you mean, that is a fair point.Tbh i dont think any cart filler has ever been good enough for me.I did prefer using the blue foam over everything else, now i have got 3 tanks to get round the whole filler issue I cant see the need for attys now,i dont miss direct dripping or filling carts one bit.My dad however still loves faffing with carts ???

Now that I'm using a combo of GotVapes' and your methods of refilling the clearos, I'm happy too, Ian scylla
