Just wondering as I am now going to build up a stock of the essentials............ nic, PG & VG to keep me going should the EU get their way as to how long PG & VG can be stored for?
Oh and will it be ok in a dark cupboard just in case freezing is not an option?

Freezing, no time limit according to the boffins Esme, in glass of course.
Not in the freezer, I'd hazard a guess at a couple of years in a cool dark place, again in glass . . . though I have read on ECF of people storing it for longer than that and still being perfectly usuable, nic base that is.
Plain VG & PG I'm personally not bothering getting stocks in as they're used in many other ' home ' applications as well.

Thanks Perpy hun..............I was just wondering whether I would need to plan ahead with the PG & VG, its comforting to know that those interfering biddies in the EU wont be able to stop me getting PG & VG as its used in other things, so its just the nic I need to be stocked up on........... plan is to get a bottle every month or other month just so I'm not caught out

Well never say never with the EU Esme . . . but I'd think they'd have a job placing ' limitations ' on plain VG/PG sales.

a guy on the vapourtrails tv forum last night said that he had been told by an eliquid supplier that freezing destroys the nic which is against everything I have heard ...

My understanding is that with long term storage ( years ) that the nicotine content may lessen over time Ash, freezing in glass limits that possiblity . . . but we're very much guinea pigs with all this, as vaping just hasn't been around long enough, for anyone to give a definitive answer.
I'm happy to take my chances . . . .

Someone on ECF suggested keeping the nic bottles in black socks in the freezer. Something to do with blocking out light when you open the freezer. OTT maybe but could be a good idea if you're using clear glass bottles and it's extra protection against breakages.
I'm beginning to wonder if we're mad to go down this long term storage route. How can we store a lifetime's worth of liquid? How would we even calculate how much to store? Is it just delaying the inevitable? Fingers crossed that the Conservatives will take a stand against the EU Directive rather than be upstaged by UKIP. If Britain gets an exemption, PostModern will become my new best friend.

They won't ban VG - you need it to ice cakes. Women's Institutes all over the country would rise and assault politicians with rolling pins.
My nic is in a cardboard box in the freezer (with poison labels all over it) more to reduce the risk of breakage than because of the light.
If you can smuggle 4 year's supply of nic in a 1 litre bottle of 100 mg/litre from the US then personally I think I'll manage to keep vaping whatever the EU do. But we need to win this battle - if we don't a lot of people will die younger than they need to.
