Well, from my point of view, I simply do not have that kind of money to spend on one. I wouldn`t anyway because it doesnt have VW. My only issue has been to stretch the spring a little once, since which I have been able to put any battery in it flat , button etc, never had the power disconnecting since that. If you have the first spring you dont need the new type. I also find it very hard to see where £180 is going in the Provari, £80 or £90 maybe, but to me they are taking the p%$^ at £180. VW has changed everything for someone who has lots of different atties with different resistances and helps their "give up the fags" motive by turning smoking from a necessary evil into a pleasurable hobby as it has for me. It has been a very important part of my success at stopping smoking after 40 years of trying and failing from hypnosis to accupuncture, etc etc etc. Just my ten pennuth

Personally if the Vari did something that was unrivaled by anything else other than not break as quickly I might be more interested. But when I could buy 9x LTs or Vamos for the same money even if each one last 3-6 months.... not such an issue in my book. If people are happy with them then more power to them, personally for me they are the iPhone of the vaping world (although Provari's aren't shit ) Having said that if I had loads of money kicking round with nothing more important to spend it on I might consider one but I would never be able to justify it to myself or the wife.

Not only ugly, kind of looks cheap to me ... obviously not by the price and I'm sure the build quality is the same. Given all the recent device developments, would have thought the Apple of vaping would have upped the ante a bit. Maybe the pink one does vibrate ... Yes, this Apple logo is on the back, The worrying thing is, ALL of our mods could be turned into a sex toy with a 3.7v vibrating motor in a smooth housing and a 510 fitting... Now that's what I call VV pleasure

I'm sorry you feel I was criticising Gordy I didn't mean it as one and thought it actually fit in with your idea of a market for everyone. I'm happy with my bargain shopping but I definite wish you well if you're in the more expensive camp and am happy you've found what you like! ( you being anyone not specifically Gordy)

I too am in the boat that it is far too overpriced when you can get something that does the same and more for a 10th of the price! Even if it is the case that it is better build quality and it wont break, if that is the only thing that it has going for it then I would still rather buy 10 vamo's!
To liken it to a car is silly really, car's are different and there is a major difference between owning a pug 106 and a aston martin - plus the aston martin is likely to break down more and cost more to run etc.
With something as simple really as an electronic cigarette, the cost being this high is just absurd! The only reason it is still this price is because it was one of the first to put this technology in but now the technology is widespread, how can they justify the cost?

likening to a car isnt at all silly... trying to say an Aston Martin is less reliable than a peugeot 106 truly is ...you clearly dont see the benefits of higher quality craftsmanship and technology

It's more like a Honda CB125 vs a Hongdou CG 125 They both do the same thing... just one is cheaper.

The Provari doesn't break down, and has no more running costs than any other battery holder.
It does have a nice balanced feel to it and the threads are as smooth as butter. It's very tactile.
My Vamo is a workhorse and I love it, but I'm betting it won't have the longevity of my Provari. It's clumsy and clunky and resembles a pipe bomb.
I will almost certainly buy their VW version if it ever arrives on the market

I think if you look into it, the more expensive cars usually require more maintenance due to higher powered engines etc. But I still know which one I would prefer as when buying a car, reliability is not the main deciding factor. I was simply stating that saying a provari is less likely to fail in no way would justify the 10x price tag of a piece of equipment that is far superior technology wise and you would still have enough in the bank to replace it 10 times over.
