I went to a funeral today

The deceased was duly dispatched and we all solemnly filed outside, some reached for their cigarettes and being discreet, I manouvered into a quiet corner and whipped out the ol' robo-fag.

After a short time I noticed a little crowd forming, one lady asked "excuse me, can I ask, what is that you're smoking?" I obligingly explained what my e-cig was all about, she introduced her very elderly hubby who was a in dire need of medical assistance to stop smoking, they'd tried everything apparently and were using something called Champix??? without success.

I resisted the temptation to remark "blimey mate, it's hardly worth your while going home" when another gentleman spoke up, he told me his employer had banned smoking in the company vehicles and he was finding this difficult.

I demonstrated the various bits and pieces of the technology to them with some re-assurances and gave a little presentation right there at the crematorium, of course I mentioned this very emporium of e-cig knowlege and support.

The lady even went to her car to get a pen so she could write down the details, all my crematorium catechumen seemed mightily impressed, could this be the way to publicise vaping to the wider community, simply hang about outside at funerals?

I forgot to add, the deceased was a non smoker.

what ever the occasion if you were able to convert one person to vaping I would say one delayed visit to the funeral parlour (Cant avoid it though have to go there either carrying or being carried)

Sorry to hear of the occasion TP . . . I've long thought if Vaping Work Shops were about for smokers then the 'conversion' rate would be so much higher.

Ok, so there's the internet videos, but sometimes you just can't beat a first hand demonstration of something . . . plus talking to someone who it works for, is worth so much.

Most smokers are sceptical I'd think . . . I know I certainly was.

And yes, you are so right, I (sadly) imagine that hanging out at funerals could be a way to publicise vaping - but in a sort of ambulance chasing way

I had my sisters Mother-in-law knock on the door this morning "you use one of those electric fags?"

When all comes to all she didn't have the vape knowledge to even tell me she'd basically run out of juice

Eventually worked out she only had a starter kit,sounds like the Super and she didn't even know about toping up the carts. I handed her all my tobacco juice that i can no longer stand and told her to come back anytime......she has COPD and has been told to quit.

I told her about TW having a shop in Darwen,she toddled off there today and she's now got a Tornado Tank :-)) I rather pleased she's bought a decent longer lasting one.....maybe she thought it was small after see my GG :-D
