Sorry Rusty, but IMHO you are asking to be eaten if you go along the route of us still being smokers:( Don't get me wrong, as I said at the beginning of this thread I can understand the reasoning but i think it is wrong. Mainly because it will alienate folks looking at using an e-cigs as an alternative to smoking. And that is the last thing we want to do. Fine maybe for us "veterans" to word play but not for newbies.

And to me that is still what I want to do - let as many people as possible know about using e-cigs as an alternative to smoking. That was the only reason for starting the fore runner to this forum as an eBay group way back in 2008. And hence why I still concentrate my efforts on helping newbies. The more folks we help introduce to vaping, the bigger voice we have.

Sorry Chrissie, but I have to disagree. It would take millions of vapers for us to get any notice from the powers that be. It may take years to get those numbers. We can continue to encourage smokers to switch to e-cigs, but if we insist that we "quit" smoking, then e-cigs will be classified as a drug/device and we won't have e-cigs, except maybe for expensive junk that BP will provide.

We have to play the game......for now.

One step at a time and right now we need to do whatever we have to, to buy time.

Feel like an outsider,maybe i am. This is where we are all different.It doesn't bother me to say i'm a smoker cause deep down i am. I haven't quit cigs,you take my vapes away and thats what i'm left with, a good old pack of smokes.For now,i'm someone who uses an E-cig and what a damn good alternative it is !

Jerry. I'm not suggesting folks saying they have "quit" I'm suggesting they have found a non NRT replacement - known as vaping. How can that simple word be classified as either a drug or tobacco?

The skinny ones called a GGTB,i am so getting mixed up with all the abreviations(and i bet thats spelt wrong). Bit longer than my Grant but i'd buy it in a blink off an eye if something happened to this Grant.

PS I'm so glad the battery i had in my pocket was charged,saved me getting up.....yawn !

And i think its blummin awful when you have to inform a newby they shouldn't use the word quit !

I surely agree......sad times....but we will get through it....Actually, it could help for them to just think of it as switching....basically that is what I did.....I just decided it tasted better than my cigarettes and switched....like switching brands .
