New and excited!

Hi everyone!

I have lurked for a while now, trying to absorb as much information as I can I finally took the leap and bought myself the Riva 1100 deluxe kit from VE... it arrived today!!

I have one of the batteries on charge now, and I'm eager to finish work and get home and started! But... of course... I have questions

Can someone please explain the benefits of cartomisers over clearomisers or vice versa? Can I fill and store both types to swap over while I'm out and about or do I fill up for the day?

I currently smoke about 25 cigs a day (Mayfair), can anyone tell me what that is in terms of the standard VE juice? (I bought some of the samplers to get me started)

I have been hunting about and think I've got the basics sorted, but sorry if these questions are asked often and I've not spotted them!

Hi Kitty and welcome. Great choice of kit, kit.
The batteries will have a factory charge so you can vape on one while the other is charging.
Clearos vs cartos is down to personal taste really. Some find cartos a bit of a faff to fill, but think they taste better. Try both and see how you find them.
Once filled you can carry them about and swap and change. If you carry a spare carto though, do so with the 'condoms' on
Juice use is widely debated. 3-5ml per day seems average for your level of smoking (at 18mg) but you will probably vape more initially due to your excitement and trying new stuff

The batteries come with a factory charge so you can use one straight away while fully charging the other .

Re cartomisers V clearomisers. Clearomisers hold more e-liquid & you can see when they need refilling. However, some people (like myself) prefer the draw on cartomisers. yes, you can fill up both types & swap them as you are out & about.

At 25 a day, I'd recommend you to use 18- 24mg juice.

Welcome KittyK go on Royal Vapours as they have free samples on offer not 100% sure if they are at the moment but try as you will receive a nice bundle of all sorts and its a good way of trying new flavours in small quantities and they come in 18mg strengh, keep in touch and if you want to pm me as l use the riva and its personal choice but l love it as its simple and quick no messing about with this one.

Hope you enjoy the Riva kit.................... they are a good step into the world of vaping and as stated you can use it straight away

I prefer the clearomisers................. the vision V3 are great, last a while and they have the bonus of you being able to replace the heads ( the wick and coil) thereby saving you a few pennies I have to agree with everyone else that has said regarding juice consumption.................. between 3-5mls a day at between 18-24mgs strength................ most of the vendors on here do sell 5ml size bottles so you can try and see if you like a flavour rather than buying a large bottle

I started with and am useing the same kit you have, its a good setup! at home I'm now useing Viva Novas and tanks but when out and about find clearomisers really good without looking too outragous! cartos just don't work for me there OK for a short while then run out of steam, pun intended.
