Hi i was wondering if you wash the dct out for each change in flavour of ejuice. Or is it the norm for a different dct for each flavour. Just received some Alchamists egg custard and resisting the urge to use it before it's steeped. If you wash them out is there anything i should be careful of doing/ not doing. Thankyou.

You can wash the tube part with warm water but not the carto you'll need several if you want different flavours throughout the day.

Get a large syringe and some rubber hose, connect the hose to the nozzle on the syringe and put the carto in the other end of the hose. Submerge the carto in water and pull the plunger on the syringe effectively drawing water through the carto, push the plunger and force it all out again. Repeat til clean water emerges from carto. blow carto through till dry. Add new flavour

Does that really work Blakey or are you making it up? seen a couple of you tube vids of this being done, including a close-up of the expressed water getting cleaner, so I recon it will...lot of faff though.... same with boiling them several times over, they don't all survive the process

Give it a good old clean with some water (not the carto bit) and then use some good old kitchen towel to clear the gunk out of the carto (stick a longish peice of tissue just in the wick side then turn upside down (so the kitchen towel is facing down with the wick and 510 end *screw end* sticking up) then leave over night and the juice is almost syphened out into the tissue. Followed by a good old blow out (no puns intended) then you should be good to go after a couple dry hits.
Now back to my bottle of vino and back to cleaning my gear hehe. have fun!

I clean the DCC tube, that's a no brainer, I've got tubes that are around 8 months old and are fine! I don't clean cartomisers. I know it can seem like a waste, but you can try cleaning them and then what? Fill them up with new e-juice? At this point, if you haven't cleaned them properly or the cleaning process has wrecked the filler, you will have to chuck them out Cleaning cartos seems like a waste of time to me and can also be a waste of decent e-juice If any carto of mine still has life in it I'll happily just pop a different juice in and vape through the change, I only do this with juices of the same 'family'

Thankyou for all your replies. I seem to stick with cherry juice so i have ordered another dct for the custard tart. I am going with the theory that by the time it arrives the custard tart will have steeped long enough and will be ready to try. Really good ideas for cleaning out. Don't know if i should post another thread but have problems refilling the tube. Used a syringe, not used syringe. Lifted tube above holes, not lifted tube above holes. Taken top off, not taken top off and i still get flooding. I am only filling about a quarter of the tube so please what am i doing wrong. Slurped so much juice and Yuk .

Furball, I use a spikey thing to fill my DCTs, but they're oos A needle topped bottle would work the same! Fill the carto down the sides, taking care not to get any in the centre hole, insert carto in tank, push it down and to the side and then insert the needle top spikey thing down the side, between the carto and tank, and fill. Then make sure the carto is inserted properly, hold a tissue over the end,pop your drip tip in, and suck! This should force more juice up into the carto, you'll notice air bubble at the side when you do this! Now vape

Thankyou i will try the tissue over the end. I have been very careful not to get juice into the carto after the first time i flooded it. I put such a tiny amount of juice in but as soon as i put the top back on and the drip tip in i seem to get a small amount of flooding and a bit runs out of the bottom sometimes as well. It must be a nack, but i haven't got it yet. Thankyou again.
