What does the Stainless Steel Vamo hold over the Chrome ones if anything? IF you didn't have one, which one would you buy 1st?
Thanks again, Chiller.

Very little difference apart from materials used, although we are today getting reports of the chrome ones losing their plating with brass underneath. Im happy with my SS Vamo.

Got a chrome one as that's all that was available at the time, and the button's starting to look a little worn.
If black chrome had been available I'd have got that, but sounds like they're not a very durable finish.
If SS had been available I wouldn't have considered either of the other two.

The stainless feels alot lighter than my chrome one , also my chrome pone has a scratch that shows the brass underneath , this wont happen with stainless.

My original Chrome one is wearing around the button, they should have lacquered them, but my Black Chrome one is perfect

I remember seeing a pusardo review on a black chrome one and it looked terrible, scratches all over it. But I think it must have been either a prototype they sent him or the first batch. There isnt a mark on mine, seems like a really tough finish. I think if I had to choose I would have got the SS one, eberything else SS looks great on it and matches.

Have to admit that my Vamo is Chrome, and a month old. I've just given it a good inspection and there's not a scratch on it yet. No wear around the power button, and it works perfectly. So as far as I'm concerned, I would buy another chrome version tomorrow (well, money permitting!). Andy

SS is generally a better material and will be a lot more durable than plated chrome. It also doesn't show the fingerprints anywhere near as much as chrome.

My black chrome is worn and chipped--its been launched out of my pocket a few times and I had elastic bands on it which has worn the finish off.But I love the way it looks now abit like Stigs Steampunk Juno range--kind of Mad Max.I'm not a "shiney freak" and I never notice "finger prints"
