What's the difference?! I'm looking at purchasing the VE 1100 deluxe kit, seen good reviews would you say I'm purchasing the right one? Also is it very big and chunky? Just worried about looking silly! Very new to this! ???

Hi lozzy. I think you'll do well with the Riva kit. Nothing to stop you using both cartos and clearo until you make a choice one way or the other. I think that echomisers look good on a Riva-sized battery, but I haven't enjoyed mine very much. Mostly, I just use clearo's these days. I like the vape with a carto, but I'm forever topping them up and swapping them around. I mostly used cartos in the early days when I was trying out lots of flavours. My record was to have about 8 or 9 on the go at one time..... (mostly with Grizwald juice in)

I'm not tempted at all by real cigs! I stated vaping with a cig-a-like with a view to cutting down smoking and to be able to use my e-cig indoors! I didn't really intend to stop smoking! At first vape and smoke when you feel like it, don't put yourself under pressure to quit. Once you find an e-juice and kit that really suits you, it will be easy! At the moment, count the ciggies you're not having and don't bother about the ones you do smoke

I've only been vaping five months and I remember asking the same questions as you are, as everything was so bloody confusing. So many 'izers' and battery types makes it a minefield for newbies, but people on this forum are fantastically helpful with a wealth of knowledge behind them, and no question is too much trouble. I've got a vague idea what I'm doing and buying now, but posts like yours make me smile as it's all still fresh in my memory. I had a few dodgy days in my first couple of weeks, but stuck with it, and once I'd established what I liked and got the right kit there's been no looking back, although I'm not saving quite as much as I originally envisaged, as you may well discover yourself at some stage. I initially started with a view to using it as a halfway house to giving up, but then I thought bollocks to that, I really like this so I'll carry on doing it.

I quickly went off just carts and tried various clearomisers or tanks. My current fave is a Kanger T2.
Now off cigs for over a year after nearly 40 years on 20 a day. Thought about them A LOT for the first week, but didn't want one. Tried a puff of one after 3 months, from curiosity, and couldn't stomach it.
I now know that although I have no intention giving up the whiffling, if I ever HAD to, I will never go back to ciggies.
And that's such a great feeling! Never ever thought I would say that.

Wow it's interesting I tried a couple of cigs on Saturday and they were pretty awful however still crave which is weird, I don't think I've found the right juice/ecig yet. I've decided on a night out ill have one and not feel guilty because I know I'm doing so well, just struggling with eliquid loads which is taking the enjoyment out of it which makes it worse that I can't have a cig if that makes sense! What ecig have you got moon?

What ecig have you got moon? Daytime I use a kicked Bolt with Vivi Novas and evenings I'm using a Vamo with my Aga T, as I'm working my way up to the more expensive stuff. Sorry, I'm taking the piss. I went through clearos and cartos in a couple of weeks, clearos too small and cartos too terrible for words. I found my (first) 'ideal' set up to be Vivi Novas on an Ego Twist. Much more capacity than clearos and variable voltage battery, which meant I could adjust it to give me the flavour / heat I wanted. I found this combo to be bang on, and costs about £30, although you'll need more batteries for when it's charging. TBH though, everyone is different, and nobody can tell you what you'll like, it's really a case of trying stuff for yourself without spending too much money.

lozzy, see if there's a shop near to you where you could go and try out some of the kit, it's a better way of finding out what will work for you than just words on a forum. There is a thread on here somewhere which maps out a lot of vaping shops, and if you tell us your location then someone will be able to point you in the right direction

Hey Lozzy.. I recieved the exact same kit today and i absolutely love it. For me it gonna be clearos all the way. I did recieve a few cartos in the pack. But i ordered some extra clearos at the same time along with some sample juices. Size wise it is quite chunky, the battery is a little bit thinner than a clipper lighter. Length wise its about the size of a biro when the clearomiser is attached, much shorter when a cartomizer is attached. I wish u the best of luck.
