Scyll - loved the puppies. By the sound of the wind around eagles nest, I think they will get blown over the edge of the nest so will HAVE to fly. Everything crossed here. I'm scared. MM

Just heard a rumpus so went back to here. One of the adults has flown in with food. Lots of squeaking and squealing but still can't see anything properly. MM

Just watching breakfast with the Peregrines. Quite a bloody affair. Parent brought in a bird which I assumed to be a pigeon but I thought I saw a stripey leg ??? It might have been the parent's leg, but I suspect it may have been a smallish peregrine Parent is a very quick and efficient plucker and has been plucking and feeding the young for 35mins now. I only saw one little squabble with one hungry peregrinelet pulling the food from its sibling's beak A couple of them stabbed their beaks at breakfast but made no real effort to feed themselves. Those young are so ungainly now, but BIG. Their wing span is huge. There was lots of wing and leg stretching but given the ineffective way they used their wings to balance while stepping over the edge of the nest onto the shelf, I don't think flight is on the cards for a while yet (she sighs with relief).

Hi Cluts, pleased to see someone other than me is checking them. I pop in several times a day but there's rarely any new posts. The Eagles are fast asleep now. MM

I peeked at them earlier MM. Ugly great brutes they are now. Not long before EJ's hatch should be making an appearance.

Why don't you ask on the Techie thread on eBay MM. 2 days ETA to first hatch.
Those flippin' eaglets are giving me vertigo standing on the edge of the eyrie. Parent came up behind and I had an awful vision of a boot going up a jacksy to teach one how to fly.

LOL Clutter, I've just had my younger one laughing. There were the two younger ones standing huddled together at the far end of the nest and the older one the other side. I told the lad that they were whispering to each other, they were saying that the other one was a greedy pig and they were going to push him over the side!
