The babies look so clumsy - as if not quite sure what to do with their feet - a bit like me trying to walk in flippers! How on earth they don't fall out I will never know. I hadn't appreciated just how flat and exposed their nests are - blerdy windy up there. Blue, thanks for the info about the others. I shall have to make a reminder note to look out for the hatching. |

I thought one baby (eagle) was missing this morning but he was just hiding behind the others. One was practising his flying techniques balancing on the edge of the nest - I do wish he wouldn't!!

I'm not sure I'll have the strength of nerve to watch the debut flights. I suspect it is a case of being nudged off the ledge and fly or become strawberry jam ???
