I swear there were only two the last time I saw them "out from under" That's great news, I can't check it now because the sitting bird is fast asleep, feathers being blown about all over the place. Thanks for checking Classy scylla

I just maxed the sound so's I'd be alerted if any action - but the wind is SO loud in the mike that I can't hear my telly Yes, the nest does look tilted - could it be that the camera's been skew-whiffed by the wind ??? scylla

I've sussed it now. This evening (UK time) there were clearly only 2 chicks on the nest. Then, before my very eyes, one chick became 2 One had been standing in front of the other, and it was the one in front that was invisible (because of dull monochrome) until it moved. Am happy now They've not long had a feed and are nestling down ready for parent to drop on top of them scylla

the ospreys are still housekeeping, although the first egg is expected any day. Another webcam has been set up too, this time watching a peregrine falcon nest... she is already sitting on 4 (i think) eggs www.rspb.org.uk/webcams/birdsofprey/chichester.aspx

Last night, sitting in bed surfing with netbook on belly, I thought I was having a very loud digestive complaint - or was it my Thai fistpack mod going berserk? Honestly I was very alarmed! Then I suddenly remembered that I had eagle-cam open in a different browser - had a peek and there were Mum & Dad, open-beaked, twittering away together, quite a performance Sorry that's a bit of a shaggy dog story, but I nearly dialled 999 at the time I thought that the chicks would be frozen to death this morning cos one parent was sitting blithely on the nest with the chicks desperately trying to get under her/him but failing Needn't have worried. scylla
