The osprey pair has one egg I switched over to them just in time to see one parent join the other on the nest. The sitting bird ignored him/her until s/he picked up a big stick, then they swapped over - but... Oh, this will be too boring for everyone to read, but I was fascinated scylla

Don't like the stick dangling out of the eagle's eye It's been there ages That's me being pessimistic - it may actually be hanging from the corner of its beak. scylla

Oh dear, one of the ospreys has been trying to demolish the RSPB equipment, by the sound of it (it's just out of camera shot) and it sounds as though they've set off an electrical fire - there's sizzling going on Something ain't right, that's for sure EDIT - Or... there could be an insect caught in a mike ??? One egg, with both birds standing there letting the elements have their wicked way with it - am sure they know what they're doing Ah, it's being sat on now As for the eagles, the 3 chicks are sitting in an orderly row being fed, sweet as anything. The sitting bird was kept awake all night by a nearby bird claiming its territory, I couldn't believe how long it went on - hours and hours scylla

The eagles have been dead quiet all night. The ospreys are thinking about doing a swap but can't make up their minds, so the single egg (that's two days now) is nekkid and chilled > Oh, and the sitting peregrine is asleep, as it always is when I peek scylla

Ive been watching them all morning, and it was only one egg. I've just spent the last hour getting the housework done and your telling me she has laid again! So unfair, I miss the action again!
