Oooooo! The camera has been whizzing around following the Eaglets flying around. They go to the nest - have a look around, then fly off again. Fascinating watching them!! Good to see them fly in real time too. MM

I have footage of them all having lunch together in the nest. It's lovely how protective the parents still are.

Din-dins: Cleaning teeth after, like a good bird of prey: Don't know how far s/he flew, the cam couldn't follow. scylla

There's a message on the eagle site saying that all three eagles have been "on the wing since Thursday morning" There is a guest book @ users3.smartgb.com/g/g.php?a=s&i=g36-13002-12but I shan't sign it cos you have to put your email address on show. I really am taking ages to get over food poisoning - I think it must have been some frozen mushrooms that I'd had in the freezer too long, I shoved 'em in with some chili con carne just to bulk it out a bit. Never been so ill in my life, and that's including times I try to forget. I cannot concentrate to chat much (so what's new?) but have logged on and off to my birdies periodically and got some nice shots. This is dearest EJ protecting her babes in the pouring rain - an all-too-familiar sight: scylla x

Sorry to hear you have had food poisoning - horrible! Hope you are improving now I've been poised ready to log-in to Housing List since before 7am - waste of time again. Nothing at all suitable for me to even go and look at!! Getting very frustrated now Lovely pic up there ^^^^ cheered me up - thanks Scyll. MM

Oh scylla, sorry to hear you've been so ill. I had food poisoning once thanks to some dodgy mussels - it's horrendous and I wish you well soon. Apparently the Dacorah eagle-cam will be taken down when no birds are seen. There appears to be just one that hangs around the nest site now; it was perched on a nearby roof this morning and is up in the tree as I type. It calls incessantly either for food or for it's siblings - quite upsetting really. Fox

Here are two chilling on the branches at 2.30am on Sunday our time. Not many stills of EJ 'n family today, but I extracted this "impressionist" pic of EJ rearranging the furniture - she's making the nest area smaller and smaller as she builds up the walls to safeguard her chicks. A rather momentous event today (yesterday I mean) - Odin arrived with a fish, only to find that EJ wasn't there - so he fed the chicks himself! See his distinctive hairdo, he's quite a lad scylla

I won't bother to do another eagle pic, cos it looks the same as yesterday's and the day before's. One lone eaglet on a branch. Odin brought in a fish, no EJ So he looked stoopid while the kids begged, then flew off with it again. Then EJ arrived with BIG fish, and while she was feeding the kiddies Odin came back with his fish They were eating for ages and ages scylla

I was beginning to worry that we'd lost one eaglet but all three were perching with a parent Sunday evening. All three were feeding in the nest on Saturday night so they haven't quite abandoned us yet. They are being bombarded constantly by a small, greenish-brown bird with a brown head (and it's mate). There must be fledglings about - not the best idea to nest in close vicinity to a gang of eagles I would have thought. Fox

The little birds must be able to smell the fish so they feel safe Great shot there, Foxy, I've been so unlucky whenever I've popped in - thanks for sharing. scylla
