Here's a little clip of our eaglets having a go! I'm afraid it's a bit one-sided, maybe because of the way the Decorah people lay out the page ??? Next time I'll go full screen and hope it won't be too blurry. scylla

Am not too sure what is happening with the eagles - have only seen two all day - out on the edge of the tree branches. Has one fledged? The camera has just shown the nest as empty, but then panned to show just two of the birds. ???

"E1" has fledged, Hanow! Just saw it on the chat, which hasn't been viewable for weeks, don't know when it was restored - but it's hard to keep up with anyway, scrolling up the screen, they have +/- 30,000 viewers logged on at any one time I took a snap of the 2 on the branch but Photobucket is loading up to 99% and then just sitting there. You wouldn't know any different from the other pics me and Foxy have posted, so I wouldn't worry It will take weeks more until E1 is able to fish, apparently. I hope you have put your feet up with a nice cup of tea, MM! scylla

Two of the juvies seem to like the branches to the left of the nest and the other prefers the branch that goes up to the right of the nest (facing the viewer). I've seen all three this afternoon. I've been watching Murray muller his opponent (eventually) this afternoon/evening so haven't been watching the eagle cam for a couple of hours. Fox "Where have my babies gone?"

9.10 our time, I saw one take off!!!!!!! Woohay. I think his sibling, who had been on the branch with him, must have already flown (I missed that! - the blerdy advert clicked in! > But, matey who was left, sat there for a while, looking all lonely, then flapped a few times up and down the branch - then just went!!! Amazing. Assume that they still come back to the nest though for a short while? I think I read that they stay around the nest for about two weeks after the first fledge, then they are off to start their own life somewhere else. Hasn't it been a treat watching them develop though. Wonderful.

The one Juvie in shot is being dive-bombed by a blackbird. I reckon it has young somewhere nearby and wants rid of the eagles!! Bold little thing it is. Fox Parent has just dropped in with supper and there is at least one in the nest - probably two judging by the din, and one up on the branch. The cam isn't panning so unable to see. Both parents and two juvies in the nest - the third juvie is up in the branch to the left of the nest: 23.58pm - one juvie flew off from the forked branch and returned a few minutes later - great sight. All three together. Not a very good capture as the third is partially hidden between the other two and the camera lens is filthy:

I've salvaged some poor video from a mile long effort with mostly blank screen in it - which I didn't know about so tried to upload to YT and it didn't tell me it was too big until... oh you know what I mean This is one video with the middle cut out - even then it's mostly boring and goes haywire at the end, showing the chat screen on the side. But you should see a solitary eaglet disappear, not too far into the footage. I need a more powerful lappy for this lark, am constantly freezing and everything's sluggish. scylla

Well caught scylla. The chap i watched fly off landed on the branches way below; I could see the foliage whooshing about. He (or she) flew back up again in great style and crash-landed back on the original branch. I'm going to miss them when they finally go for good. Fox
