Hi all
I have just joined and was looking at buying an e-lite cigarette, i was wondering if these can be filled with e liquid, if so where would i buy it from and how would you refill the cartridge

I am SO pleased you have come on.

Certain brands of e-cig do have a design that allows you to refill the cartridge. Others don't.

E-Lites can be re-filled, but only a few times and the results are disappointing.

e-lites are overpriced for what they are! Are you a heavy smoker? i'm asking as the cig-a-like batteries don't last very long between charges If you're not bothered about your e-cig being slightly bigger, there are much better batteries around!

E-Lites were on Radio 5 live this morning in a conversation/debate that had Ash (Scotland) on one side and E-Lites on the other.

I was driving along the motorway, puffing on my eGo e-cig thinking.....

"NO!....." plus about 1,000 negative thoughts.....

I originally tried the E-lites a while ago and they didn't work for
me personally as I didn't like the taste of the cartridges and
they didn't last very long either. The batteries also tend to run
out quite quickly but that seems to be the case with most cig
lookalikes.

I've just bought an Ego T to try once again to get of the ciggies
and it's a huge improvement over the E-lites and I'm finding it
a lot easier to stay off the ciggies. The only downside is the Ego
is a bit bulkier than the cig lookalikes but you soon get over that!

If you really want a cig lookalike there are plenty of cheaper
ones available. A guy I work with uses the Jacvapour
kit and the carts for that cost just under £7 for 5 compared to
nearly £20 for 5 E-lites ones. They also sell blank carts you can
fill yourself. He just buys the blanks and fills them so I can't
comment on the original carts but the ones I've tried of his
were better than the E-lite ones I had.

Good selection of pre filled 510 carttomisers here (will fit the e-cigs I've linked to above) and they can be easily refilled

Yep total rip off that's why my E-lite kit ended up in the bin

As others have said, e-lites are over priced & under perform. You would do so much better going for a Riva or Ego kit.

But as Karma says, if you really do want an e-cig that looks like a real cig, compare how much cheaper the one she linked to is to e-lites -

Plus the replacement cartomisers for that 510 mini are also so much cheaper than e-lite's refills.

Hi dusty, don't get e lites, they are awful if I hadn't stumbled across a stall that sold ego-t's after trying e lites I would have died smoking. Do some research on here and see what will suit your needs. I would recommend the Ego range as a good starting point. Very best of luck.

Costly and unreliable but did the job of getting me to switch from smoking to vaping

Pros
it got me off smoking. when the cartridges actually work I have really enjoyed the vaping
Con
The cost is heinous - twice as expensive as smoking roll-ups. Takes a few days for them to arrive (why no next day delivery?) Cartridges give very variable performance some have been so poor I have sent them back. You don't get the hit you get with a nicolite disposable. The misleading claim that 1 cartridge is equivalent to 40 fags that is patently ridiculous.
Bottom Line
Oh dear it all started off so well. I ordered my starter pack and the golden virginia went in the bin and have not smoked since. I am sold on vaping but am going to try other brands in frustration at misleading information about how many ‘vapes’ you get out of one cartridge (not value for money at all), the large number of ‘dud’ cartridges and what I think is below par performance in terms of hit, reliability etc. The first few vapes are usually great but performance then tails off dramatically. The odd cartridge – literally just a few – has performed well. I realised that you have to really work at getting a good drag out of these things and you end up chain vaping to get your nicotine. Some of the cartridges leak, some hardly last more than a few hours (the ones I got from morrisons were the worst). Oh dear oh dear. In desperation I went to convenience store and picked up a disposable nicolite – that was more like it. If they send me replacement cartridges for my duds I will consider persisting with them and pray they improve the product. i don’t care what it looks like it’s the quality of the nicotine hit I care about and getting value for money. I could cry at how expensive these things are compared to rolling tobacco. off to get some more nicolites tomorrow and maybe a couple of other types while I think about whether to persist with e-lites. A snazzy marlboro style package does not make up for vaping frustration. In a hurry sorry or would be more articulate!

Thank goodness Caroline Ellis wrote this. The stories about going from 50 Marboros a day to 24.5 puffs on an E-Lite were beginning to depress me.

As said - cigalikes wont keep you off the cancer sticks for long. You are far better off with a ego kit and the 650mah (this is the battery size) versions are hardly any bigger. The batteries will last 24hours and you simply pour your juice into the tank. You get much more vapour and flavour at a fraaction of the cost. Its a no brainer!

There is a new review on ecigclick that totally *slates* the cost of E-Lites.

Isn't it interesting that on ecigclick there is everything from "wow, these babies are the real deal" to "these things have cost me a fortune and not got me off the fags."

or, my favourite "my husband and I have been using these for 4 months and now we only smoke 3 or 4 a day".

There is one review website out there where E-Lites come TOP every year. I had one of our IT guys find out some more information on it. It's owned by E-Lites. Now, there's a coincidence.
