Hello all I am a newbie and my mixing supplies are coming today. Question is where do I start . I will tell you what I've ordered and then you can advise, if you would be so kind . Platinum Ice 54mg PG base AVG Pecan Pie Chocolate Amaretto Cappuchino Vanilla Golden Virginia Really didn't know what I was doing when I ordered, but they all sounded rather nice. I'm willing to give anything a try. What woulkd you make from the above? Thank You

First off I'd download Breakthru's mixing calculator, it's excellent: ejuice.breaktru.com/Then I'd make some small 5ml bottles of mix up, in those flavours . . . let them steep and see whether they're to your tastes as ' standalone ' brews, or whether you feel they'd benefit from some additional flavouring. Keep it small scale, simple as possible to start with Sue, until you get a feel for your flavours and the concentrations you feel work for you.

I agree with Sister Perpetua mix up 5ml of each of your flavours in your preferred strength (that calculator is brilliant btw). Once you've given them each a taste, you can try mixing them together. Mixes that come immediately to mind: Cappucino & Vanilla Chocolate & Pecan Pie Chocolate & Amaretto Cappucino & Amaretto Golden Virginia & Vanilla Chocolate & Vanilla Try mixing them at 10-20% flavouring tobegin with, depending on how strong they smell. You can always add more flavouring, or add pre-mixed flavourless if the taste is too strong, Oh, and get thee a notebook, and use it. I failed to do this and now can't remember any of the tweaks I made to any of my recipes

Sorry Perps, it's just that every time I see your name on the Mixing board I get this mental picture of a nun, complete with wimple, sitting at a refectory table and dripping bits of this n that into bottles... Whereas Frogster and Ash bring to mind a Hogwarts potions class. Ignore me. I'm just a bit odd.

I bought 2 bottles of PG and one of VG, but because my nic is PG based as are all my flavourings I ran out of VG before I'd finished the first bottle of PG. Depends on what PG/VG mix you like, and what base your flavourings use. If your flavours are PG based that's 20% PG or thereabouts right there, and if you're mixing at 24mg say that's another not-far-off 50% PG. PG doesn't cost much anyway (bit more than VG though), I had 500ml Pharma grade off eBay for about £8 delivered.

??? Sorry and another question How long would you recommend steeping time. Would I be able to use any immediately? because the ready made eliquid that I have will soon be gone. I didn't realize that it would have to steep. I told you I had no idea on the mixing trail but I am learning thanks to you fabby people

I'd give 3/4 days bare minimum Sue, some flavours take longer than others to develop, especially Dessert/Vanilla flavours . . . Tobacco/Fruit tend to be quicker.
If you want to speed the process along a bit, stand your bottles in some warm water.
The temptation if you don't give brews some infusing time is to bung some more flavouring in, which isn't always what is needed . . . similarly, you also risk disappointment if you sample your mixes whilst they're still ' green'.
As a general rule, it's at least a week before I try anything I've made . . . and 2/3 weeks before I feel my brews are at their best.

I have the following PG based Platinum Ice 54mg AVG Flavours Chocolate Cappucino Vanilla Amaretto Golden Virginia Pecan Pie. If I use the ejuice chart when you get half way down, I cant just put VG in can anyone go through it with me please or should I just order the PG and WAIT .......................not my best quality by the way the flavours are Totally Wicked Gold Blend so somebody may know what they contain

I can't tell from the TW site Sue, which is a bit bad actually as they really should list the ingredients. Is there no ingredients list on the bottle?
