According to the London Evening Standard, Nicolites have "officially" become the largest brand of electronic cigarettes in the UK, after partnering with Tesco, Superdrug, the Co-op and WH Smiths. As well as this they have also partnered with the NFRN, the National Federation of Retail Newsagents, meaning that they are getting into cornershops up and down the country. www.standard.co.uk/lifestyle/nicolites-officially-becomes-the-largest-uk-brand-of-electronic-cigarette-8463753.htmlAs expected, they come with pre-filled cartomisers that cost £6.95 for 3 and claim to be equal to 20 cigarettes. Given that 'medium' is 11mg/ml and 'high' is just 16mg/ml then the 0.9ml cartos will not physically hold as much nicotine as 20 cigarettes deliver, so even assuming 100% efficiency (a good guide is 30% delivery of nic from e-cig vapour) - then it is very hard to see how the 20 cigarette per carto claim can hold up. However, they are proving to be reasonably popular and one plus side is that the cartomisers use a 510 connection, and can actually be re-filled with e-liquid if you pop the plastic end off.

you don't even need to pop the end off, if you use the silicone cover that they come with fitted to each end of the carto, you simply fill the silicon end cap and slowly push the carto in to the liquid mouth end first.
The wadding in the carto absorbs the liquid and away you go - can refill dozens of times.

If these guys flood the market , I can potentially see them being an ally in our own aims , once potential profits / losses are realised as a business model , who knows ........

It is always a good thing..... Think about it..... Nicolites are the gateway to REAL vaping ..... people get frustrated with the costs of that elite crap and the lack of reliability so in turn they turn to our vendors . Happy days

Hmm.
Gluggler? What sort of kit you do sell? (I've always been keen to know since I saw the video footage of your store).
£6.99 for 3 is better value than E-Lites if you ask me. I never got more than 0.5ml in an E-lite carto, but I guess you'd need to fill one from "blank" to know the truth.
I liked reading this.
You and me are "on the same page" with this.
16mg liquid. 0.9ml liquid. Even at 50% "yield" thats 7.2mg nicotine per cartridge.
7.2mg divided by "20" vapes = 0.36mg per vape. Hardly going to stop cravings is it?

Personally, given my "history" with E-Lites, I'm glad to see another Brand get the nod.
Also, if the EU tobacco directive proposal makes it into law, then 11 or 16mg/ml is going to have to make it into the "medical/provable" catagory. Could be good.

A colleague of mine has been on Nicolites for over a year. She loves them and it's keeping her from smoking! I've talked to her, e-mailed links, loaned and gave her bits and bobs, but she still prefers Nicolites. Fair enough, they really have worked for her and if it hadn't been for this girl I would never have seriously looked at e-cigs

oh, one comment from the newspaper
Jeez. Some people are stupid. Fags have been extortionate for years. People are switching because it's healthier and it's a craze.....seriously.
You can't save money with all brands. One I can think of one brand that worked out *more expensive* for me than smoking 15 rollies a day.

Your friend has probably not got much of a nicotine addiction any more either. win, win. The only real losers are the folk paying £3.99 per carto.....
