Why do you want to stack batteries in the vamo?

I have the same mod and it just exploded yesterday. Same thing happened, the battery on the top exploded. Good thing it exploded right after I took it out of my face. All I have is a bruised knee with a wound to show for it, that's where it recoiled!

Maybe any UK vendors who sell mods that require stacked batteries should remove the cheap batteries that might come with the unit and either include IMR batteries at a higher price or sell without batteries and advise purchaser to buy AW or similar.
I would like to think that seasoned vapers would know better but in order to safeguard newer members/vapers from the dangers of stacking cheap batteries.

Im back to using the ego-c i purchased from liberty flights last year, still going strong. My lip has virtually healed now, still got a little lump on the inside and out, but its getting better each day. Im suing for damages, They have 3 months to build a case.

Hello and Stacking of Li-ion batteries is dangerous. You will have seen nickel cadium batteries stacked in toys and torches. Li-ion batteries are high powered and need treated with respect, so long as you bear this in mind they are perfectly safe! Why don't you start a new thread in the 'New Members' section and tell us a bit about what you are looking for in an e-cig, any worries about it you have etc, and you'll get lots of welcomes and advice

Nearly all the accidents I've seen regarding ecigs have been caused by stacking batteries. It happens because one battery inevitably ends up being overdischarged damaging the seperators inside, the battery then either vents in the charger or vents in the tube, vent holes are meant to stop the vented gasses building up enough pressure to push the atty connector off ; it looks like the venting was insufficent in this case. Using cheap batteries not meant for high discharge rates doesn't help either.
