I think this is more a case of the dangers of stacked batteries, that's why I avoid it. I am trying to understand how the mod " exploded" Did it not vent out of the breather hole? It looks like the battery has exploded this is what happened to the guy in the USA.

Did those batteries come with the kit? or did you purchase them separately? This is why I never skimp on batteries!

yep buy good un's - they look like ones that would come with a kit .... and with stacking you need to manage the battery health closely plus ensure they are equally charged and draining equally.

Can you confirm that you were using Stacked batteries? I don't think that device comes with a tube/extender option and the kits I have seen have 2 x 16340 batteries with them ... this is a stacked config

So it looks like the top battery blew at the top and blew off the top of the ecig, which damaged your lip. Although it's apparently got a vent hole, either it wasn't big enough, or the gases couldn't get down the tube to it. I suppose it's better the top blew off, rather than it turning into a pipe bomb.
This could be why mods have a press fit top and not glued.
I don't know what to advise.
This is why I don't much about with batteries as well. You can take any batteries that come with a kit and chuck em straight in the bin (recycling), as far as I am concerned.
Same as chargers.

I totally agree, never stack batteries, but this mod was designed and sold to work with stacked batteries

Mods are still being sold for stacked batteries I believe.
This story should probably have got more interest than it has so far.

Cheers guys,
The vendor wants me to send back the device so they can send it to the manufacturers to examine, and the vendor has emailed everyone who bought the device and he personally had the same device and is binning it.
But it wasnt the device itself it was the top battery in the stack, although it did blow the top of the device off towards my face with the atto. yeah im gonna stay away from stacking systems from now on, death traps just glad it wasnt too bad.
Bad enough though.
Anyhow im back using my ego c with an xxxl cart at the mo, looks like a silencer on a gun lol

Stacked unprotected batteries are the most risky way to go, especially with no-name batteries that could be any old garbage. I await more information on this, to see what the vendor in question will be doing - obviously, this is not something we'd be wanting to go viral.

I'm glad I saw this, I was going to get one to use with an 18650 but if it only takes stacked batteries thats just dangerous and should have never been sold. I hope the vamo is safer when stacked!
