I have received a mini vivi nova tank this morning. ( Thanks to Vape Escape BTW for making sure i got the whole lot not just the tank i ordered in the first place ) What do i need to do with it? Can i just fit it and go? I have just been looking on you tube and people seen to have the string things cut really short. Mine are long and i have one already fitted to it out as it came out of the box however there are 2 included. Its going on a riva battery so is there a particular one i should use? Perhaps i should have stuck to cartomisers, i had the hang of them but i was finding they were running out during the day and was having to leave the house with stashes of them and lost some etc. Cannot get on with any clearomisers so this seemed to be a solution however i am a bit stuck now with what to do with the beast

No need to do anything. The shorter wicks were earlier versions. Screw the top cap off the head that's on it, drip some juice down the inside wall, give it a swoosh to make sure the wicks are nicely wet, and vape

The novas are great !! , you dont just have 2 spare heads , they are differnt resistance 1.8 2.4 2.8 the 2.4 I find ( and most people ) using a standard battery is the best . Jason sells heads at a good price The only other thing I would buy would be a plinth , just to make your unit look better

Just fill it, give it a minute for the wicks to get wet and then vape! The box will have 2 spare coil heads in there, the coils gunk up with use when this happens and the vape drops off you can unscrew the coil head and fit a new one. They will also have different resistances which is printed on the side of the coil head probably 1.8 ohms, 2.4 ohms and 2.8 ohms, it's there, just small writing! The lower the resistance the warmer and more vapour produced, but the lower the resistance the more power the coil will draw so shortening the battery life. To be honest don't worry about this at the moment just go with whats already installed.

I find 9 times out of 10 if you give it a few vapes, it soon "wicks up" a good 'un. Interestingly though, my "bigger brother" vivi nova (3.5ml) is still a bit hit and miss with the wick after a whole tank of juice.

He hee thank you im up and vaping away happily with a coffee, i did a nightshift last night and am currently at my sisters supposedly doing her cleaning as she has managed to break her arm ( swear she did it on purpose, her and housework do not mix ha! ) But for now i must weld my arse to the sofa and relax whilst whilst i play with my new toy. Its really rather good, far better than those clearomiser thngs, felt like i was inhaling air with them. I do really need to get a plinth though it does look a little odd

You need type B plinth on Des' link. I seem to remember VapeEscape saying to avoid low resistance on the Riva, so maybe best not to use the 1.8 head.

The 1.8 ohm will be fine on the Riva, I used them when I used Riva's and I have some here still going that must be 2 years old! I preferred Riva's to Ego's due ty#o their higher output.

Sorry to be thick whats a plinth?! I remember thinking the same thing...like, "why would I need one of those?". I wouldn't be without mine. It is one of the sure-fire things you'll find in my vaping case. (along with 3 mini novas of course... )
