Hi I want to try mixing juice, found the kit for mixing for 20ish pounds but where is best to buy nicotine and flavouring from, plus how do I know how much nicotine to use etc. I vaoe on 12mg nic like, licorice, vanilla, coconut, some fruits. Help to get me started would be appreciated.

www.liberty-flights.co.uk/ has just about everything. You've probably got a little nic with your kit. Where it is best to buy the next lot depends how much you want (it's cheapest to buy a litre of 75mg from the US, probably NicVape, but that is about 4 year's supply) Nic does vary in quality, but not (I think) by a lot, so I guess you google. There's a case for buying VG base nic unless (like me) you want to vape nearly pure PG. (Flavourings tend to be PG-based) There are various calculators about for mixing - e.g. ejuice.breaktru.com/If you are creating recipes then you need to read grizwald's guide (though I find it a bit over-complicated) I'd start by just making single flavours, to get an idea of what flavouring strength suits you. I still make my recipes by making single flavours and then mixing them. Vanilla flavourings can contain diacetyl, which some people prefer to avoid. You are normally OK if you order it from a vaping supplier rather than someone who is more about flavouring food (though maybe avoid Liberty Flight's French vanilla deluxe).

As Giles says . . . download Breakthru's calculator, it's excellent Summer.
Start small scale at first, until you get a feel for your flavourings and the concentration you enjoy vaping at.
And to clarify, TPA's French Vanilla Deluxe does not contain Diacetyl . . . it contain's two custard notes - Acetoin and Acetyl Propionyl, which carry inhalation cautions on a lesser level.
A number of Custard and Vanilla flavours do, but not all, that nice creamy flavour in an eliquid, comes from those notes . . . it's down to the user to decide whether they wish to vape them.

Summer the breakthru calculator is fantastic, I made my first juice today and the calculator is really easy to use. When you add the nicotine, just remember to wear some nitrile gloves for protection. best of luck in mixing.

summer.............. if you like mixing after using your kit then postmodern smoking is good for nic........ very good price and the nic comes in a glass bottle (just over £15 for 100ml) flavourings.......... that is a matter of preference........... Flavour Art (F'Art) or Perfumers Apprentice (PA) are both very good in flavour and price.......... there is also Cupcake World (CCW) which has some great flavours and fab prices but the creme de la creme is Capella flavourings........ they are the best..... especially vanilla custard as has been said the breakthrough calculator does get the thumbs up enjoy

Breakthru's calculator won't work on a tablet Summer . . . there are a couple of free Android apps on Google Play Store, they're basic but quite good for starting out.

I got a new computer yesterday, but it got windows 8 on it and am struggling on it, tried downloading there, but says my security not letting me do it, and no idea how to let the security let me download it gah!

I'll just have a quick look on my tablet Summer . . . brb. Ok, if you Google Android eliquid calculator, you'll get the Play Store come up in the search, one of the ones I downloaded is this one: E-Liquid Calculator Alessandro Boggiano And the other is just called Simple-E-Liquid. Don't forget though, that Post Modern also has an Eilquid calculator on his site if you find it easier to access that.

Once you have made your first couple of mixes you will wonder what you were worried about, I started with just single flavours, absinth, tiramasu etc but it's not long before you start thinking what flavours you might like together. Dave
