I would love to get one of these Zappers from you, I live in the USA but I will pay full charges for the extra postage, I am tired of not being able to get the ready made wires here in US from Clouds of Vapor, I ordered them 3 months ago and they still haven't shipped them and it would be great to use my materials for the wire

Hi and thank you for your quick response, it says that there are no items but there are preorders available so I don't know but I left my name and contact info so I am hoping that I will be able to get one, and thanks for your kindness,

Yes they are being done on a pre-order basis so there's only the amount of orders taken for that week. We're doing it this way because I can only produce so many and I don't want to take orders that I cannot supply quick enough. If you emailed Stew he will contact you asap with an estimated time (most of the time that week), he wont ask for any money up front but will contact you when they're ready to order and will invoice you then. It was the best way we could think of doing the orders on a limited basis as they are.

HI, I think that would be great, I don't know if it was Stew that I emailed, I did the Contact thing and then put about the Zapper, so maybe it was him. One question, can this put 28 Ga wire also with the weld? I am sure it can, and I know this is the cart before the horse, but is Silver wire the best or it another type better for the weld, I just am curious, and thank you for everything from here in Los Angeles,
Robert

I wouldn't try silver with these welders, it is very soft and very difficult to guess the correct setting. It is much better using Nickel for your No res wire and either Kanthal or NiChrome for your res wire. There are some instructions here if you'd like to take a look.

Received my zapper a couple of days ago. What can I say, what a great bit of kit. Used to hate all that twisting of res and no res. Now I want to get more atty's which use them, just so I can zap more!! Anyway thank you for great product.

Thanks for the feedback feldy and glad you're happy with it.
You just need an Ithaka now with dual coils to keep you Zapping lol

not sure if this has been covered already on this thread but thought i would share a tip ive just posted on the Vapepit forum for anyone finding that the wires come apart whilst wrapping your coil:- 1. wrap your resistance wire around the wick 2. cut the ends of the resistance wire 3. place the coil in the clamp 4. join your no resistance wires coil in the clamp image finished result image this method is especially useful when joining a thinner no resistance wire to a thicker resistance wire

Nice idea Scott... I've found a lot of difference depending on what wires are used on whether they make good welds or not, don't know if you've found this too. Even the supposedly same wire, if from different suppliers can be very different, some will be a bit flaky joints and others you just cannot put apart, this is with metering them too to make sure exact same power is used.
Can you figure out a way of welding dual coils together ? lol

Ok, i am slowly getting frustrated, i am trying for 1 hour now to weld the wires together, 0.20 kanthal A and 0.20 silverwire, I just cant get a decent weld, tryed to power it for 3-8 seconds it doesnt change anything, switched the polarity of static wire, nothing helps...
Please, is there some tutorial how to do it?
And please dont tell me i should get nickel wire, i dont have it and i need to make this ready untill monday morning as i am leaving for vecations and there is absolutely no way to get nickel wire untill then. The idea with zapper was to have less troubles and better contacts then with "manual" way but untill now it is just complete pain in the a**
