Hi Cas and welcome to the forum and a great bunch of people. I was just like you....for the first time feeling positive about getting off/staying off the ciggies. That was 3 months ago, haven't looked back since and love vaping, sure you will too!!

Hi Cas. I am also very new to the forum and to vaping. I started to worry about the damage I was doing by smoking 20 a day for 15 years, so decided I needed to stop. I decied to go cold turkey, but it's never as easy as it sounds. I was sitting at night trying to talk myself into buying a packet of ciggies.
A friend pointed me towards vaping and recommended the eGo-T starter kit. I ordered it and waiting patiently for the couple of days it took to arrive. Since I've started using it, I've had absolutley no urge to smoke. I've only been using it for a couple of weeks and feel so much better already. I can honestly say I don't miss smoking at all.
I found this forum when looking around for information on vaping and can't speak highly enough of it. The information and help from members on here is invaluable!
Good luck mate and if you have any questions, the guys on here will no doubt answer them.

Welcome cas lots of suggestions already. If you check the vendors' board on here you will see lots of good vendors and discount codes. A Riva or an eGo set is a good place to start and clearomisers are very simple to use so good to start with.

Welcome Cas. It's actually very smart of you to find us and ask first about what to buy. Most people come on here saying "I got into vaping with XYZ e-cig" and it's not doing a very good job. I'm sure you'll get lots of good advice. Make sure the battery has a good run-time (essential to get two if you are planning on not smoking at all). Make sure it has the right fittings (ego/510) - that's the thread size for screwing bits together. .....and ask about vendors and/or brands.....there are some *cough, cough, dodgy* vendors (with unsurprisingly no presence on here b.t.w.) who will sell you exactly the right sort of kit and charge you twice or three times the going rate. Most of us have tried most places and t.b.h. if it gets mentioned (in a positive way) on here, you'll be hard pushed to go wrong. There are plenty of established companies which are simply "heroes" to us on here for going above and beyond the call of duty and still charge within a few % of each other for most products. I could list them, but it would look like I was favouring some over others, or just doing it alphabetically or something. I have a favourite shop and also use about 2 or 3 others almost as much. "It's all good", once you know. Dave

Just don't use the juice that comes with the starter kit. It tastes like a mix of ash trays and smelly socks

If it had, it's a given I would have gone for an ash-tray tobacco unknowingly. I've had quite a lot of those liquids anyway since then, and mostly I just vape them with a mix of something else. I quite like an ash-tray these days.....

It wasn't until I went to 24mg that I could jump "100% committed" from the tobacco nest.

Hi Cas, nice to meet you #welcome2# I'm an ex-rollie skmoker and I vape 15 - 18, have done from the beginning! However, everyone is different so you'd probably be best to get some 18 and some 24, and see how you get on! As for tobacco flavour, some are nice but they don't taste like burning tobacco Probably best to get a mixture, buy only small bottles at first until you find out what you like
