Hello well I did some mixing last Wednesday and well what can I say, I'm not that impressed. Some of them are 'orrible, but I'm having a vape anyway. . I made all at 18mg strength, chocolate, pecan pie, mocha, capuccino, vanilla and amaretto. I followed the ejuice calculator, but to be honest they don't have a lot of smell or flavour. Now my question is can I just keep adding more drops of flavouring or can I perhaps just mix 2 of them together in one bottle? Please bear in mind, I am a complete beginner and only on the first rung of my apprenticeship. I don't give up easily but just need a little voice to say GO ON GIVE IT A TRY I would be so grateful for any advice

Post your recipes (amounts etc) then we can have a look and see if there is anything obvious.

Sounds like you need more flavour. Some of the reviews suggest mixing these flavours at 5%, but I need more like 20%. Also you may need a couple of days more steeping. You can add drops of flavour, but I'd make up a new batch with a lot more flavour, leave it a week and see what it tastes like. If it is too strong then you can mix a little with the original liquid, find a balance. (You've labelled them carefully of course, so you will know what % to use next time) GO ON GIVE IT A TRY

That does seem awfully low at 10 drops and chocolate isnt particularly strong anyway, as a general guide you can work at 20% unless its a tobacco flavouring which are all very strong, part of the fun is finding the balance but it can be frustrating, so do a mix or two at 20% and as already said if its too strong you can dilute it with an unflavoured mix.
That said, some fruit juices and creams and coconut can all be a little overpowering, its all a bit trial and error but there are some more convincing recipes on this forum for you to try, frogsters in particular.

Whose flavourings are you using, 10% may be a little low as Giles says. Also what strength base and what final PG/VG % are you after??
As has already been said try a mix at a lot higher flavour. Most of all, don't beat yourself up if you don't get it right straight away, it can take a while to get mixes how you like them. Keep some of your favourite commercial liquid in to keep you going while you experiment.

I am using TW Platinum Ice 54mg and am aiming for 18mg. I'm using TW Gold standard flavouring. When I came to mixing the recipe, I asked for help because I only had VG and was advised to add the PG and VG drops on the recipe chart together so I could just have VG. I'm getting plenty of vape which is great but not much flavour and taste Thank you for helping me

I'd mix 33 drops nic juice, 42 drops VG, 25 drops flavour. That will probably be a little too strong, and you'll end up mixing maybe 4 parts of that to one of your original mix.
Incidentally, I wouldn't do anything of the sort, because I can't count beyond 13 ( I play cards). I'd buy a 2ml syringe, and put in 1.2ml flavour, 1.7ml nic, 2.1ml VG.
Did your VG come from a vaping shop or a supermarket? If its a supermarket you should add vodka or ionised water to it first (maybe 10 or 15%).
If your nic is PG base that'll probably give you around 40/60 VG/PG.

As an aside, TW are expensive for base. £34.99 for 100ml, compared to say Postmodern £15.99 for 100ml. I tried the Gold standard flavours once and once only!!!!

Oh thank you #KissBlowSmiley1# I got the VG from TW as well and yes the nic is PG based. I have some syringes now but didn't have them at the time. I just had a thought #icon_idea# , when I added the nic drops and VG drops, I used a dropper that came with the nic juice but the flavour drops, I added straight from the bottle and the latter were much tinier drops. I am almost certain that could be the problem because theoretically the flavour drops would equate to about half the size of the nic and VG What do you think?

Thank you Roger, I was quite fortunate and got my ingredients at quite a reasonable cost because I jumped on their YoYo sale and happened to be in the right place at the right time. Thank you for the advice about the flavourings, I am going to get some from TAC and some Capella, F'Art and CCW.

I'd use the syringe. But I still think you are likely to want a stronger mix than 10%

Incidentally, I vape mostly chocolate (with mint and a little coconut) and tried a few different ones and decided that they are all pretty similar (wrote a review) so I'd go for CCW for that because it is cheapest. Coffees on the other hand are all different.
