Hi all,
I just re-wicked my new Kanger T3 (wrapped wire five times around wick) and it is reading 4.5 ohms on my Vamo, is that too high?

No, it will work, you'll just have to up the voltage if in VV mode but if you're using VW then the Vamo will adjust itself accordingly. Try it, if it works ok, then you'll know for sure.

Is 4.5 a good thing or bad? Have i re-coiled it right with those readings, it's just that a new not touched/re-coiled by me base reads 2.4.

I never rewired a kanger but just had two goes on a nova, failed miserably. first reading 9.9 and the second go was 0.3, all I can say on what I've read on rewicking 5 wraps you should be getting 2.4 2.8. I am just learning myself

4 to 5 wraps usually between 2 - 3 ohms is best. But as I said a VW device will compensate for the higher resistance.

Try holding the wick against a straightened out paper clip & coil the wire around both. Then remove the paper clip.

Gonna re-wick it @ 4-5 wraps, also i have 2mm wick, should i double it to make 4mm thick? also is it best to put one strip of wick on top of the finished wick?
Gonna use the paper clip method as you advised:)

Gonna use the paper clip method as you advised:) You could double the wick if there's room for that thickness, but you might find it starts drinking the juice with 4mm. Don't think you need to put a buffer wick on, specially if your doubling up. It's the same on the zmax, it's the default setting. If you go into the resistance/ohms menu & try it without an atty on it will read 9.9

I do the same as Chris and use a paper clip (or a pin/needle) Makes coiling much easier.
Also the gauge of wire you are using can make a hell of a difference.
