My first convert.

Hi all,

I just managed to convert my wife to e cigs. She's starting on a supermini and on a lower strength juice than me. My RY4 makes her cough and she doesn't like the smell. I love it.

Anyway she switched last night and so far so good. She's doing really well, better than I thought as she loves smoking. She wants to switch because our son has asthma and it will be better for him to have smoke free parents. Also the added benefits health and finance wise.

Also today I did my first e cig demo to strangers. I went to a christening and at the do afterwards I was going outside to have a vape. It wasn't long before half the pub were outside watching and asking questions. They all seemed keen and hopefully some will try it.

I gave one girl a go with a spare carto I had. She nearly exploded with all the coughing she was doing. It only just occured to me that there may have been primer in it still. Anyway on the whole I think people were impressed, especially the landlord who commented on the lack of customers since the smoking ban.

I wish I'd had a boot full of e cigs, I could have made a few pennies!

I was trying my best to promote the positive side. Luckily when the girl tried mine everyone else had gone back inside. I also tried to drum up some business for geordiekev and James by mentioning them. I'm not sure of the legality of selling kits myself, I don't want to do anything that could land me in hot water. I'm fine with just recommending sites.

Oh ! I meant for giving away !!! Don't know the conversion rate, but here you can get them for around $5.00...cheap enough to keep a couple...

Yeah I suppose I could and would like to if I was more financially stable. Don't want to push the wife too far, she's just come round to e cigs. I can imagine the conversation that would follow me buying and handing out kits!

Yep! Now we're both waiting until payday. She gets paid monthly so we will have to start planning ahead.

Super-minis? The batteries are terribly small. is why you need three on charge at all times. I used to get through at least ten 084 batteries a day, and now it's two 18650s and 10ml of juice...

Good luck with it Lee, it's nice when you can do it together. We were lucky and both started at the same time and encouraged each other. Hopefully it will be the same for you.
Have to say the biggest difference at first was the kissing, no horrid smell,just a nice whatever she's vaping smell, not saying she smelt but you know what I mean....anyway before this hole gets bigger I'm walking away

Thought I'd add to this rather than start a new thread. I have 2 new possible converts. My brother and sister in law are going to try e cigs. They decided to go with the 510 starter kit form James. They are a bit concerned that anything bigger will be weird. Hopefully they like them and will stick with it. Take that tobacco companies!!

We've got a whole load of the "fact and fiction" electronic cigarettes leaflets printed out, if anyone wants any to give out to friends/family etc please let me know.


It's great that your showing people them, hopefully they will be able to see the benefits and move across!
