I hope i am not anyone's head in with my never ending questions cos here are 2 more: 1. Is it best to completely run the battery down before recharging it, does that prolong its life, or is it ok to keep topping it up? 2. Have i knackered one of my batteries already > when i look at the end that screws to the clearomizer, inside the threaded bit, it is completely flat whereas my other one has a hole in that surface. This flat one appears to charge in about 40 mins and runs down in about an hour and i am not getting much out of it. Its working, as in the blue light lights up, so some power is getting through, have i managed to break it?

These types of battery have no memory, so it doesn't matter when you re-charge them. If anything, it is possibly best to not run them down completely before re-charging.
Not sure I really understand q2. What battery is it? Can you post a picture showing what you mean?

I have tried it with both the clearomizers i have. It is an Ego 900mah battery, came with the C4 kit, i am pretty sure both batteries should look identical. Off out now but I will try and post photos of them both to show you what I mean when i get back, thanks Ooh and thanks for answering my first question, that's great ta!

stop it rosco, i am getting a complex! 4madcats, ok i watched that video thanks, maybe i can explain it a bit better now. The battery in that link looks exactly like the battery I am thinking is knackered. My other battery that is working fine, its got a hole in the middle of the flat circle that the blokey on the video was trying to lift with his screwdriver. I have fired up my ancient laptop cos i dont know how to post photos from my ipad so bear with me and hopefully very soon i can post photos of both my batteries

Have you tried lifting the flat connector up (second picture) and then putting back on charge.
I clean the connectors on the batteries and the charger once a week with vodka and an ear bud. Might be worth giving it a clean.

Also the battery in the first picture looks like it has a load of liquid in it, b worth cleaning that too and checking your carts or clearos are not leaking. Make sure all connectors are dry before putting on charger or putting carts/clearos back on batteries.

Cas, the 2nd pic looks like you've pushed down the connector too far by overtightening a clearo/carto. Try using a non-conductive item (cocktail stick or a leccy's spanner) to lift it up with the battery turned off. The centre pin should protrude but yours is flat. It happens to me a lot on Rivas when I use a clearo and I carry an Electirican's screwdriver round in my case to lift it up.
