dumb questions

Sat here musing over what to cook for dinner while doing my daughters hair ready for a party tomorrow I got to thinking...

Could the heating element in atomizers not be made out of ceramic? Like in the really good hair straighteners etc?

If it were, surely it would last alot longer than what is currently used?

professional hair straighteners go up to hundreds of degrees (average 200-240), and are used all day every day by hairdressers so they obviously withstand the test of time.

Or am i talking out of my backside and just daydreaming? Remember I'm not technology minded, even on a good day with the wind behind me.

Planned obsolescence, Blue, everything is designed to last only so long. There wouldn't be much profit in an atomizer that lasts a long time.

The best example to that is the Apple Store...
You go and ask their team anything the first thing they would say is it is a very good question.
