Yes, wash out the clearomiser, then dry off the wick a bit by patting it gently with tissue/kitchen roll without moving the wick (you may disturb the coil and create a short)It is best doing it if you can see the coil, then 5 second burns. If you can see the coil, you will see when a 5 second burn makes the coil go red hot.It may take quite a few goes before this happens as it dries off any excess water still in the wick which will prevent the coil getting red hot. Two or three five second burns when it is red hot will burn off any crap on the coil. If you cant see the coil it is guesswork really. You dont actually vape while you are doing this, just press the button.

I would say rebuildables are much cheaper in the long run. A rebuildable tends to cost £1 more.. Depending on the type typical £5-6.. Replacement heads can be bought for around £10 for 5. So all in all cheaper than a non rebuildable at around £4. You can also experiment at building your own coils. This works out way cheaper still. I may have a go at it myself. Im not 100% sure but I think I read somewhere that certain clearos are easier to rebuild than others.

Between Clearos, Cartos and Tanks, I have about 25. I have two rebuildables.
Everyone of these units have a different flavour of juice in then and I could not afford to have more than a couple of rebuildables.
Considering the amount of money that I am saving on not buying fags (just over £14 per day) the idea of me faffing about with little bits of wick and wire is just daft. One day's saving and I could buy enough spare heads to do my a month of sundays.
If you want to get into rebuilding fine, but if all you want to do is Vape then buy spare heads.

Thanks for replies good folks
With me not being an ex heavy smoker (only smoked 10 a day) i dont think i will be saving much money compared to ciggies. The cost of clearo's and juice and all that.

In that case I would definitely go with the rebuildables and spare heads.

Yeah, I second that on the spare heads. I use Vision EGO type clearos, and it's a breeze to just buy a second (3rd, 4th...) atomiser head, rinse out the plastic tube and off you go vaping again. You can do this to swap between flavours, too, if you just pop the other head into a sealable plastic bag. Clearos are usually around £5-£6, heads around £2, so it is a massive saving as these things go. And wayyyyy less scary than faffing around with coils and wicks and whatnot

Ive just dry burned my clearo and there still seems to be a few droplets of water in the vessel, does this matter i dont want to over burn If you can see your coil, it doesnt matter, just do the burn and keep an eye on the coil, 4 or 5 second bursts, when you see the coil getting red hot, it means the water has dried out of the wick, then a couple more 5 second burns and all the crap will burn off, then fill it up and vape away . There is always a danger of the coil popping, so dont overdo it. 5 second burns are all that is needed.
