I've stuck it in, wiggled it around, light stays green. I thought maybe it was a fully charged battery as it had been in the drawer. Popped it into LT, nope.
I'm guessing it's dead? Any idea what would have caused it? I'm using an Xtar WP2II charger.

have you cleaned the contacts, battery and charger. Does the charger charge other batteries?

Check another socket as well . . . eliminate all the other possibilities Ewol.

I just charged another battery and it was fine. 4.1 on the lavatube it's showing. I'll clean the battery contact later just incase, but it doesn't sound good. I take it I just use a little Isopropyl Alcohol on it?

Sanyo 18650 I think. It's pinky red. The lettering has worn off.

Was the battery left in a mod for a while not being used. I had one that would not charge. It had been left in a mod for several weeks.

Every now and again I have a similar issue, I put in a Panny 18650 and the wp2 goes green-red-green within a few seconds but I know the battery has no charge. When this happens I swap the batteries channel on the charger and it works! Tales of the Unexpected!

If you have a flat top battery then the +ve contacts on a WP2II will rest on the insulation and not make contact with the cap. Lift the bottom end of battery up a bit in the charger and you should manage to get the +ve to make contact, as then battery is now sloping. What I have done on my charger is find a couple of small short screws I can put into the contacts. You could also use just a paper clip to act as a spacer to fill the cap between contact and battery cap but make sure you do not short to anything else.

If the charger has completely discharged the battery below a certain voltage then it WILL NOT start to charge it as the battery is now dangerous to charge and could explode. Never leave a battery in a charger or electronic mod for long periods.

I've done the small screws bit on the WPII as well. Tilting works if you don't fancy that. It's only flat tops that need it normally.
