Google is your (even better) friend

I have just discovered a couple of neat tricks that enhance Google search - apologies to those that are already familiar:-

The search box does a lot more than simply allow you to enter search terms.

There's a calculator for example (enter a sum such as 57 x 46 and press enter for the answer.
There's a converter for currency and measures (put in "$7.50 in £" or "3.6kg in lb" say)
There's a translator (try "Latin to English per diem")

Don't use google then

Personally, running a phone with Google OS they already know where I am at all times, who I contact and all my email, calendars, friends, travel routes and times I travel everyday and my appointments, documents, credit card details etc.
The more they know, the better my phone and PC work for me.

But you still have the option of not using google and not giving them any information.

We are all tiny fish in a huge pond and they aren't actually interested in anything we do or our data apart from using it to target adverts at us.
I've never paid any attention to any advert anyway so their efforts are lost on me

To be honest I don't care what they know about me. I am an upright, honest citizen with nothing to hide and if their knowledge of me improves the service they offer me, which I believe it does, then I'm ok with that.
