Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone can advise or help with the above.
Bought one of these on 14th January (delivered about 16th?) I have used it less than a dozen times but when I plugged it in today to charge 2 efest 18350 batteries there is no green light on the wall socket and no lights on charger unit itself ie the charger is not powering on. Does anyone know if there is a fuse on them that can be changed? (I can't see where it would be or go)
Thanks
Di

Could be the fuse in the plug itself Di.

Why don't you get in touch with the vendor Di before any tinkering as tinkering could invalidate any warranty

Could be the fuse in the plug itself Di. Also, when you say green light on the wall socket, maybe it's the socket. Check that no fuses have tripped on your main board

Check that no fuses have tripped on your main board Hi Chrisjw, Sorry I never seem to be able to explain myself clearly lol!! The charger comes in two pieces, a 3 pin wall plug with a lead that you plug into the charging unit to power it up, (There is a green light on that that shows it is on,) and the charging unit which has two bays that both have individual lights that light green when empty/no battery in them, red when charging a battery and then green again when battery is charged. (I have been plugging the unit into a surge protected extension I use with my laptop) In this case there are no lights lighting up anywhere on it. Think I will do what Karma suggests and contact VEJason and see what he says, not sure how long a warranty you get on the units but would possibly expect it to last longer than 1 month?? Di

I would think that it will be under warranty. Just one thing, have you tried it in a different socket? The wall plug is a moulded power supply & plug and contains no user serviceable parts, it is probably this that has failed. Return to the vendor, he will be able to return it to his supplier under manufacturer warranty.

I think VE's warranty is at least three months. Chris.

Hi, Yes, I have tried it in a few different sockets (worry about fussing about anything without satisfying myself that what is happening is truely happening... if you see what I mean?) I have even plugged a few other things and my ego charger into the same original socket and it lights up ok, oh and everything else works too. I have been in touch with Jason, he replied very quickly and am awaiting a second email from him now. Thanks Di

For what it's worth, the plug into the socket bit can sometimes lose it's connection, and needs to be plugged in again quite firmly..

As a temporary fix you might find that the power pack for your router will work with the charger.
My old Netgear router's power pack was a direct swap and works perfectly with the WP2II Charger unit.
