I have 5 cartos that came with my Riva.
I wanted to use them to try different flavour juices. When I have finished with the carto and cleaned it ready for the next flaour (leaving to dry for a couple of days) they don't seem to vape anymore.
Is it something I am doing or do the cartos only last for 1 flavour and can't be cleaned?

Cartos are meant to be disposable & depending on how much you vape, they can last for as little as 2 days or up to 2 weeks. I've never had any luck washing them out - if I change flavour, I just vape through the change

Knew they were disposable, thought they could be used a few times. Never mind.
Plan B, the Riva 1100 comes with 2 drip tips, one is attached to the clearo, can I just add a drop or two of a juice to the other drip tip and vape that as a way to test the flavours(using a dead carto as a connector to the battery), will I be able to wash it inbetween taste tests.
Sorry for the questions really want to try the lots of flavours I have and pick a few of them to really give vaping a chance to help me get rid of stinkys once and for all.

Zelda, if your cartomiser is dead, it's not going to heat up & turn the e-liquid into vapour. As Karma says, for dripping, you need an atomiser.

I tried cleaning cartomisers (back in the early days). I never had one bounce back to life in all honesty. Even the "lightly used" ones (5-10 top-ups) were never any good after cleaning and fully drying. Most of them wimped out instantly and never recovered from the soaking/boiling/sonic cleaning etc. I guess you might stand a chance with a fairly fresh one, but I never found a method that worked.

Thank you Karma and Chrissie.
Yet another order done, more juices to try with an atomiser and tip, also got a spare charger. E-cigs are costing me more that stinkys, but better for my health and taste way better.

DJS - they have only been used for 1 fill and not even vaped much. One I one had one taste and that was horrible (chocolate caramel).

Zelda, thy should last more than one fill. Make sure after your initial fill with the condom method, that you keep them topped up with juice.

:)I have found in the past that the pin on the end of the carto ( the end that screws into the battery ) in not aligned, particularly when using the ecigs. I used to very gently push it over slightly with a little screwdriver or pair of tweezers I had no end that I thought were duds and after tweaking they were perfect

What are these both for? trying different flavour liquids before filling a carto? and....How long are the Cartos supposed to last then? I didn't think they would last forever but 2 days seems a bit short!

Yes, indeed audio, saves wasting a whole carto if you don't like a floavour!
A carto outside a tank should be good for about 10 -15ml of liquid, they last longer inside a tank as they are continually getting fed so never dry up!
for best results make sure that you fill them properly for the first time then top up frequently!
